Channel Divinity: Summon Dragon

3rd level

After a 10 minute ritual, Summon a divine dragon mount specific to your alignment. Once this ritual has been completed, you are bound to your summoned dragon, and it is bound to you. If the ritual is completed a second time, the same dragon will be summoned.


Metallic for Good, Chromatic for Evil, Odonata for Chaotic, Lung for Lawful, Tarrasque for Neutral.

  • The dragon obeys your commands as best it can. It shares your initiative while mounted, and you determine its actions, decisions, attitudes, and so on. If you are incapacitated or absent, your dragon acts on its own.

  • Whenever you gain the Ability Score Improvement class feature, the dragon's abilities also improve. The dragon can increase one ability score of your choice by 2, or it can increase two ability scores of your choice by 1. As normal, the dragon can't increase an ability score above 20 using this feature unless its description specifies otherwise. The dragon's hitpoints increase at the same rate as the Paladin.

  • The dragon uses your proficiency bonus rather than its own for attacks and skills which it is proficient in, and also adds its own proficiency bonus to its AC and to its damage rolls. It also becomes proficient with all saving throws.

  • If the dragon is reduced to 0 hitpoints, it vanishes with any objects it is carrying or wearing. Repeating the ritual returns the dragon to life with full hitpoints.

Channel Divinity: Draconic Surge

3rd level

Metallic - As a bonus action, you can have your dragon hold concentration in your stead.


Chromatic - Maximize the damage dice of a single spell that deals elemental damage.


Odonata - Gain the effect of the Mirror Image spell, shared between the Odonata and the rider.


Lung - Regain a spell slot that has been expended on divine smite.


Tarrasque - Create a 10 ft. radius antimagic field around the Tarrasque for 1 turn, affecting spells up to the level of the Paladin's highest level spell slot.

Fight as One

7th level

while mounted -


When you take the attack action, the dragon can make a single melee attack as a reaction.


At 14th level, when the dragon takes the attack action, you can make a single melee weapon attack as a reaction.


When you would be hit by an attack, the dragon can add its dexterity bonus to your AC as a reaction, possibly changing the outcome of the attack.

Draconic Presence

15th level

Once per Long Rest, while mounted, as an action - each creature of your choice within 60 feet of you that is aware of your presence must make a wisdom save against your Spell DC or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.


Additionally, one per turn while mounted, when you deal damage with a melee attack, you can add the dragon's STR to the damage dealt.

20th level

The dragon's bloodline unleashes its full power. The effect varies based on the summoned dragon.

Once per Long Rest - For 1 minute, become immune to Fire, Cold, Acid, Poison, and Lightning damage. Gain resistance to Bludgeoning, Slashing, and Piercing damage. For the duration, there are 7 golden orbs orbiting the rider. As a bonus action, the rider can throw one of the 7 stars. all creatures within 10 ft. of the target must make a DEX save against the rider's spell DC, taking 6d4 Fire damage and 6d4 Radiant damage, halved on success.


Strength and Constitution can be increased to 26 through Ability Score Improvement.

Once per Long Rest, while Mounted, for 1 minute summon an incarnation of the Jade Palace. All chosen creatures within a 40 foot cube, centered on the Lung Dragon, must make a Charisma save against the Lung Dragon's Spell DC, taking 6d10 force damage, or half on a success, and they are forced to the nearest unoccupied space outside of the cube.


The Jade Palace prevents any spells from being cast into or through it, any matter from passing through, and extends to the ethereal plane, blocking ethereal travel, including that of the Lung Dragon and Rider.


A creature that attempts to teleport into or out of the Jade Palace must make a Charisma save against the Lung Dragon's Spell DC. on a failure, the spell is wasted.
