Downtime Activities

Living inside New Farelion does not cost any portion of your income, simply because you are a part of a cohesive unit in it's attempt to survive this harsh new world. To make up for this, you are tasked with doing some sort of task during your off time. The following can be spent during such time and their effects will sometimes be greater depending on how much downtime was spent between sessions:

Assisting a District in Growth

Spending your downtime action doing a bit of extra labor. You gain your (level x (1+tier))d8 gp. So for example, a level 1 character in a 0 level district would roll 1d8 and gain that much gold. Completing this task grants the district experience points. After enough experience, the district will increase in level.

By visiting Alfgeir, he can refit your armor aand add some extra padding thus granting you for your next adventure +1 to your Armor Class.

"I make good promise, but I can do more. Assist in my growth and I shall forge the best of quality armor" - Alfgeir

Horki's Weapon Shop (level 3) 5000 / 10,000

Horki, a survivor of the missing miners that were previously employed by Throri, has been granted his approval by the Iron District to open a shop. THanks to the adventurers within the city, the funds were already supplied.

By visiting Horki, he can sharpen and strengthen your weapon. Choose one Weapon that you own, and for the remainder of the session, that weapon has an extra +1 to Hit and Damage.

Additionally, the weapon is also dipped in silver. The effects of the Silvered property are removed upon the end of the session.

"My brother claims he can do more, well if he can so can I. Give me the goods and i'll make it worth your wait" - Horki

The Enchantress (level 2) 7500 / 15,000

The Enchantress, a woman returned to good health thanks to the seemingly blessed waters of the crystalline pool, was a woman not of the Dead Zone Nomad background but not from New Farelion. Unfortunately, the pool did not recover the effects of her amnesia, and she does not remember where she came from and also her name. She does however recall that you rescued her and has asked to offer her services to the city.

By visiting the Enchantress, you may; at the approval of the DM, remove the magic from an item and place it on another similiar. The previous item will be destroyed and the essence of the magic will be transferred to another object. An example given would be taking a Keen Dagger, which critically hits on a 19 or 20, and stripping that power and placing it onto another one handed piercing weapon such as a shortsword or scimitar.

At the Enchantress current strength, she may only transfer up or down one damage die, or properties on armor to another of similiar armor type (light, medium, or heavy).

The Enchantress may now transfer magical properties across two damage die and can transfer a magical property between light and medium armor. Heavy armor magical properties can only be transferred to other heavy armor.
