Adventurer's Guide to Sargas

Welcome traveler to the world of Sargas! Whether you were born in Sargas, or somehow made your way here, Sargas is a land of mystery and intrigue, and it I'm sure you'll find many adventures here.

Races of Sargas

Humans, Elves, Dragonborn, Halfings, Gnomes, Tieflings, Goliaths, Orcs, Firbolgs, Aasimar, Genasi, Dwarves, and Glamorians all make their homes here in the world of Sargas.

The World is full of Wild Magic

Magic storms pelt the outside world, uncontrollable wildfires, raining glass, instant day-night cycles, and all manner of dangerous things make life outside the Safezone undesirable.

The Safezone

A mighty wizard named “Gantar the Great” used his life force to create a magical barrier around the rim of the mountains.

This barrier has held for the last 2,000 years, but it is weakening. The people of the Two Cities are scared, and now a magic portal has opened and deposited people from other worlds.

The Sister Cities

The two cities within the Safezone are similar in construct, but vastly different in racial makeup and population.

  • Rutherford is the larger of the two cities, and people of influence make their homes in the High District of the city.
  • Volis is the smaller of the two cities, and much of the produced goods come from here. Dwarves, Orcs, and many of the stronger races prefer to make their home here with an honest living.
  • Many farms and villages throughout the Safezone provide food and resources to the cities
  • Some Factions and Organizations call the Safezone home.
  • Decide if you want to be a part of any Factions or Organizations

If you have additional questions about the Cities or Factions, ask Luke.

Change is Coming

The forcefield is weaking, and the people are scared. Magic has taken people from other worlds and put them into the Safezone.

These people are under great suspicion and some believe them to be sent by the forces of evil to destroy the forcefield.

Short Memory

The people of the Safezone don't remember a time before the field. And any who leave, have never come back. They are assumed dead, or worse.

Gods of Sargas

Only a core pantheon of Gods have survived the test of time. These Gods are still openly worshipped and temples and shrines to them are prevalant in the Safezone.

Laws of The Safezone

Leaving the Safezone is forbidden. If you leave, you are dead to those who love you. Do not come back.

Public use of Magic is strictly forbidden. The people of The Safezone are distrustful of magic and see it as taboo.
