Maul of Sieges

Weapon (maul), rare (requires attunement whilst cursed)

Some people take great pleasure in razing that which has been built by others. The creators of this maul probably felt this way about everything.

The Maul of Sieges is made of the sturdiest metals. The head bares scars and scratches made from many a high speed collisions with all manner of structures and buildings.

At the business end of the weapon lies a large, flat face with 9 blunted pyramids spread across it for maximium wrecking potential. The other, less used, end of the head has a crowbar like attachment for applying leverage to more tactful situations.

+1 Magical Weapon

You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with the Maul of Sieges.

Siege

This weapon does maximum damage against buildings and structures.

Crowbar

By using the crowbar extension on the back side of the head, this weapon can grant advantage to strength checks where its leverage can be applied. But why would you to do that when you could just smash it?

Curse

This maul is cursed, and becoming attuned to it extends the curse to you.

As long as you remain cursed, you are unwilling to part with the maul, keeping it within reach at all times. You also have disadvantage on attack rolls with weapons other than this one, unless no weak buildings or structures are within 60 feet of you that you can see.

Once the curse on this weapon is removed it no longer requires attunement.

Raze and Level

When you come within 15ft of weak or partially damaged buildings or structures, of the DMs discretion, you must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or enter a sieging frenzy.

Whilst sieging, you must use your action each round to attack the structure that caused it with the maul. If you can make extra attacks as part of the Attack action, you use those extra attacks until the structure is rubble

Surprise Structures!

A sieging frenzy may also be caused by the sudden appearance of a structure, as with the Wall of Stone spell. This decision is ultimately up to the DM however.
