Warlock

Warlocks receive the following changes and additional options.

Pact Boon

The Pact of the Blade is replaced with the following feature

Pact of the Blade

You can conjure or create a pact weapon in your empty hand. You can choose the form that this weapon takes each time you create it. You are proficient with it while you wield it. The weapon has the following statistics and traits.

• The Pact Blade takes the form of any melee weapon you like, provided that form has a reach of 5 feet.

• The blade deals 1d10 force damage and has a reach of 5 feet, regardless of the form or shape you choose.

• You use your Charisma modifier for attack and damage rolls, rather than Strength or Dexterity.

• The blade counts as a magical weapon for the purposes of overcoming resistances

• Drawing the blade from the ether takes your object interaction for the turn, just as drawing a mundane weapon would

• The blade disappears if it is more than 5 feet away from you for 1 minute or more; you may draw it again on your turn as normal. It also disappears if you choose to draw it again, if you choose to dismiss the weapon, or if you die.

You may also choose to transform one specific melee weapon into your pact weapon by performing a special ritual over the course of 1 hour, which can be done during a short rest. You can then dismiss the weapon, shunting it into an extradimensional space, and it appears whenever you create your pact weapon thereafter. You can't affect an artifact or a sentient weapon in this way. The weapon ceases to be your pact weapon if you die, if you perform the 1-hour ritual on a different weapon, or if you use a 1-hour ritual to break your bond to it. The weapon appaears at your feet if it is in an extradimensional space when the bond breaks.

If you use a non-magical weapon for this purpose, it is treated as a magical weapon for the purposes of overcoming resistances once you have completed the ritual.
