Circle of Dreams

Druids of the Circle of Dreams believe the purpose of nature is to bring wonder and awe in those who dwell in it. Their order gathers in the most exotic, strange, and beautiful places in the wild, such a fields of flowers that bloom only once per century, moonlit marshes where elusive insects lay their eggs, or magnificent waterfalls that shimmer in the noontime sun.

Those of the Circle of Dreams are naturally attracted to and attuned to the Feywild, due to its nature as a place of endless whimsy. Often, druids of this order have a high respect for faerie creatures, especially the archfey who rule the Summer Court or Gloaming Court. Some druids are known to even pledge allegiance to them directly.

Whimsy Shape

When you choose this Circle at 2nd level, you may take certain artistic liberties in your Wild Shape.

When you use your Wild Shape feature, you may do the following.

  • Instead of a beast, you can cause your Wild Shape to count as an aberration, construct, fey, fiend, plant, or undead creature. Your appearance alters to match.
  • You may make minor cosmetic adjustments to your form, such as having feathers or scales instead of fur, having a unique pattern, etc. These features do not alter your stats or abilities.
  • You may speak any language that you know with perfect clarity while in animal form.

Tricksy Shifting

At 2nd level, you can use your natural shapeshifting abilities to distract and befuddle enemies. While in the form of a Tiny creature, your AC cannot be less than 18 and you can take the Dash, Dodge, or Hide actions as a bonus action.

Feywild's Favor

Your connection to the Feywild grants you peculiar abilities while in Wild Shape form. At 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th, you may cast the following spells using your own spell slots, but only when using Wild Shape. The target of these spells must always be yourself.

Once you gain access to a Feywild's Favor spell, you always have it prepared, and it doesn’t count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. You do not need material components to cast it. If you gain access to a spell that doesn’t appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you.

Feywild's Favor
Druid Level Spells
3rd jump, longstrider
5th alter self, enlarge/reduce
7th blink, tongues
9th greater invisibility, polymorph

Unnatural Selection

At 6th level, your animal forms are more powerful. On assuming Wild Shape form, choose one ability modifier of your new form. You may add your proficiency bonus to this ability modifier. This lasts until you return to your normal form.

Curiouser and Curiouser

At 10th level, your experience with the Feywild's odd inhabitants gives you a familiarity with their kin. You have advantage on checks to study, recall information about, or interact with fey creatures.

Baffle

You have achieved such a mastery of the beauty and peculiarity inherent to nature that you know precisely how to confuse and bewilder creatures.

At 14th level, once per long rest, you can attempt to muddle a target's recent memories. You may force a number of creatures equal to half you druid level (rounded down) within 50 feet to make a Wisdom saving throw against your druid spell save DC. On a failed save, the creature immediately forgets the entirety of the past 10 minutes. On a successful save, they are not affected whatsoever.

Affected targets are considered suprised for one round. Also, if they are concentrating on a spell, they immediately lose concentration.
