Warlock Patron: Demon Prince Margon

Margon, born a tiefling to the Dark Lord of Elderbaron was raised by his father to hunt the greatest spellcasters of the planes. As the years passed, Margon fell out of favor with his father, becoming one of his greatest rivals. To attain greater power he found his way to the Abyss. He conquered a layer for himself and now bestows his talents upon those that would seek to become master hunters of mages, sorcerers or even dragons. Credit: Kyounghwan Kim

Mage Hunter

Beginning at 1st level your Patron bestows on you the ability to identify users of Arcane magic. As an action you can channel your focus from your Patron to feel the pull of magical auras that surround arcane magic users like wizards, sorcerers and other warlocks within 60 feet. This ability can potently identify magic users despite their efforts to disguise themselves, however it becomes more difficult in large crowds.

Once you use this ability, it can't be used again until after a short or long rest.

Arcane Ward

Beginning at 6th level, the demon Prince has taught you how to use the weave and the intensity of your inner focus to avoid damage from a source of arcane magic. You may grant advantage to one saving throw against a spell -or- may roll 1d10 to subtract from an enemy's spell attack roll.

Once you use this ability, it can't be used again until after a short or long rest.

Redirect Magic

Beginning at 10th level, the demon Prince has taught you how to twist your Counterspell and Dispel Magic. If you counter or dispel a spell through the use of Counterspell or Dispel Magic, you have the option to redirect it to a new target at the same level it was cast. If the original spell required a save, it uses the original spell save DC of the caster. If the spell requires a spell attack roll, you may make a spell attack roll against a new target.

The redirected spell is cast as the original casted spell level and not your spell level.

You may still choose to simply counter the spell if that is the desired effect. In order to use this ability, you must be able to see the person casting the spell, and within range to cast Counterspell or Dispel Magic.

The Power of the Enemy, is Your Friend

Beginning at 14th level, the demon Prince has taught you how to capture and use your enemy's power against them. When you succeed on a saving throw or are the target of a spell attack roll, you may choose to use your reaction to capture the spell and store it in your arcane focus with all of its effects negated as if by counterspell. Your arcane focus can only hold spell levels equal to 1/2 your total warlock level and the stored spells can be used later.

Once you have stored a spell, the stored spell fades after you take a long rest.
