The Prism Knight

Prism Knights are Fighters that draw their power and martial might from the prismatic star’s light. The have learned to harness the iridescent light’s energy to create weapons and strike their enemies with ever-changing attacks. One time, their attacks freeze an enemy to death, another time they burn their adversaries with the flames of Terrefeldt’s sun. They are versatile fighters and blessed by the rainbow-coloured light of the Prismatic Star.

Prism Blade

Level 3 Prism Knight feature

You form a pact with the Prismatic Star which allows you to form a weapon made from iridescent light.

As a bonus action you create a melee weapon made from colourful light, you can create two weapons as part of the same action.

You are proficient with this weapon, it has the finesse, light and thrown (range 20/60) properties, it sheds light in a 10 foot radius and it deals 1d8 + your strength or dexterity modifier of damage. You decide what the type of damage the weapon deals when creating the weapon.

Choose from fire, acid, lightning, poison, cold, thunder or psychic damage.

You can’t be disarmed of that weapon unless you are incapacitated. If you throw the weapon it disappears once it hit its the target or the ground and reappears in your hand.

Once you release control of these weapons, they disappear. Also, all weapons created by this feature are considered magical for the sake of overcoming resistances.

You can transform one magic weapon into your prism blade by performing a special ritual while you hold the weapon. You perform the ritual over the course of 1 hour, which can be done during a short rest in which the magic weapon is slowly eaten up by iridescent light until it has vanished. Whenever you create your prism blade thereafter it gains the additional properties of the magical weapon transformed. You can’t affect an artefact or a sentient weapon in this way. The magic weapon is released by its bond with your Prism Blade if you die, if you perform the 1-hour ritual on a different weapon, or if you use a 1-hour ritual to break your bond to it. The weapon appears at your feet when the bond breaks.

You can use your bonus action to create a floating shield that orbits a creature of your choice within 60 feet, granting it a +2 bonus to AC for the 10 minutes. You regain all uses once you finish a short or long rest.

Prismatic Might

Level 10 Prism Knight feature

Your Prism Blade’s damage gains a bonus. Whenever you hit with a weapon that you’ve created and deal damage, the weapon’s damage increases by an amount based on your level in this class. At level 10, the damage increases by 1d4. At level 16 it increases by 1d6 and at level 20 it increases by 1d8.

Also, from now on, your unarmed strikes deal 1d4 + your Strength modifier radiant damage as iridescent light engulfs your fists.

Prism Blight

Level 15 Prism Knight feature

You learn to release a wave of iridescent light to mark or harm your enemies.

However, a creature that fails its saving throw can instead be marked by iridescent light. For 1 minute or until you lose concentration on the mark, an affected creature sheds dim light in a 10-foot radius and any attack roll against it has advantage, if the attacker can see it, and can’t benefit from being invisible.
