Levelling Up

The following XP chart assumes a PC requires 6 'medium' difficulty encounters to advance to 2nd level and also to 3rd level. It then takes 12 more 'medium' difficulty encounters to advance to 4th level, and roughly 15 'medium' difficulty encounters for each additional level.

Epic Boons

You may select one epic boon for every 100,000 XP you earn past 20th level (500,000 XP). Unless otherwise noted, you can't select a boon more than once.

Epic Proficiency

When you select your first Epic Boon at 600,000 XP, your proficiency bonus increases to +7. It increases again to +8 when your XP total reaches 1,000,000, and it increases to +9 when your XP total reaches 1,4000,000.


Boon of Combat Prowess

When you miss with a melee weapon attack, you can choose to hit instead. Once you use this boon, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Boon of Defence

Your AC increases by +2.

Boon of Extraordinary Ability

You may increase one ability score by 2 points, or two ability scores by one point. Your ability score maximum increases by a similar amount, to a maximum score of 30.

Boon of Extraordinary Endurance

You are immune to Exhaustion.

Boon of Fate

When another creature that you can see within 60 feet of you makes an ability check, an attack roll, or a saving throw, you can roll a d10 and apply the result as a bonus or penalty to the roll. Once you use this boon, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Boon of Fortitude

Your hit point maximum increases by 40. You may select this Boon again when you reach 1,500,000 XP, and at every million XP thereafter.

Boon of High Magic

You gain one spell slot of any level you can cast. Alternatively, you may select any one additional Arcanum of a level you have access to. You may select this boon more than once.

Boon of Immortality

You stop aging. You are immune to any effect that would age you, and you can't die from old age.

Boon of Inedia

You no longer need to eat nor drink. You derive all the sustenance you need from breathing.

Boon of Invincibility

When you take damage from any source, you can reduce that damage to 0. Once you use this boon, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest. You may select this Boon a second time; if you do, you dont gain any extra uses of this boon, but you now recover the use of this boon when you finish a short rest or a long rest.

Boon of Iressistable Offence

You bypass the damage resistances (but not immunities) of all creatures.

Boon of Legendary Action

You can take one Legendary Action each round. That action can be either the Attack action (one attack only) or the Cast a Spell action (a single cantrip only). Choose which action it is when you select this Epic Boon. You may use this legendary action at the end of any other creature's turn as long as you are not surprised. You regain the use of your legendary action at the start of your turn.

You may select this boon again when you have 1,500,000 XP, and at every million XP thereafter, gaining an additional use of your legendary action each round each time you do.

Boon of Legendary Craftsmanship

When crafting items, you work at 5 times the normal rate. You can also forge artifacts. Artifacts have a creation cost of 1,000,000 gp, and require the completion of at least one epic quest during creation. Work with your DM to determine the exact properties of your item, including how it could be destroyed. In addition to its base abilities, your artifact can have up to four minor beneficial properties and up to two major beneficial properties. For each beneficial property it has, it has a detrimental property of equal severity.

You must have the Master Craftsman Feat to select this Epic Boon.

Boon of Legendary Potency

When a creature uses legendary resistance to save against an effect caused by you, the creature must expend two uses of that ability. If the creature does not have two uses remaining, it fails the saving throw.

Boon of Legendary Resistance

If you fail a saving throw, you can choose to succeed instead. Once you use this ability, you cant use it again until you finish a long rest.

You may select this boon again when you have 1,000,000 XP, and again at every million XP thereafter, gaining an additional use each long rest each time you select it to a maximum of 5 uses.

Boon of Luck

You can add a d10 roll to any ability check, attack roll, or saving throw you make. Once you use this boon, you can't use it again until you finish a short or rest.

Boon of Magic Resistance

You have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Boon of Peerless Aim

You can give yourself a +20 bonus to a ranged attack roll you make. Once you use this boon, you can't use it again until you finish a short rest.

Boon of Perfect Health

You are immune to all diseases and poisons.


Boon of Quick Casting

Choose one of your spells of 1st through 3rd level that has a casting time of one action. That spell's casting time is now one bonus action for you.

Boon of Rapid Attack

You can make one extra attack whenever you take the Attack action on your turn. You must have 1,000,000 XP to select this Boon.

Boon of Recovery

You can use a bonus action to regain a number of hit points equal to half your hit point maximum. Once you use this boon, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.

Boon of Remarkable Talent

You gain any one feat. If that feat improves an ability score, it also raises the maximum score by the same amount to a maximum score of 30.

Boon of Resilience

You have resistance to slashing piercing and bludgeoning damage from non magical weapons

Boon of Resistance

You may add half your proficiency bonus (round down) to saving throws you are not proficient in.

Boon of Skill

You gain proficiency in three skills, languages, weapons, or tools of your choice.

Boon of Speed

Your walking speed increases by 30 feet.

In addition, you can use a bonus action to take the Dash or Disengage action. Once you do so, you can't do so again until you finish a short or long rest.

Boon of Spell Mastery

Choose one 1st-level sorcerer, warlock, or wizard spell that you can cast. You can now cast that spell at its lowest level without expending a spell slot. The spell cannot restore hit points.

Boon of Truesight

You have truesight out to a range of 60 feet. You may select this ability more than once, increasing the range of your true sight by 60 feet.

Boon of Undetectability

You gain a +5 bonus to Dexterity (Stealth) checks, and you can't be detected or targeted by divination magic, including scrying sensors.
