Strength Requirements
Each weapon has a minimum Strength requirment in order to wield the weapon effectively. A creature, who is wielding a weapon in which they do not meet the minimum Strength requirment, has disadvantage on attack rolls with that weapon.
- Simple weapons have a minimum Strength requirement of 11.
- Martial weapons have a minimum Strength requirement of 13.
- Light weapons have their minimum Strength requirement reduced by 2.
- Finese weapons have their minimum Strength requirement reduced by 2.
- Heavy weapons have their minimum Strength requirement increased by 6.
- Wielding a weapon in two hands reduces the minimum Strength requirement by 4 unless the weapon has the two-handed property.
