Time to Drop Knowledge

Use notes to point out some interesting information.

Tables and lists both work within a note.# Pact Boon At 3rd level, your otherworldy patron bestows a gift upon you for your loyal service. You gain one of the folliwng features of your choice.

Pact of the Ring

Your patron grants you a ring of power, allowing you to store your strength. While wearing this ring, you can store one hit die in it during a rest, allowing you to expend an action to restore health equal to your hit die result + your charisma modifier, either to yourself or one creature within touching range. Transferring a ring into your dice subtracts it from your pool of hit dice, and if you do so during a long rest, it takes it from your replenished pool, not your previous day's pool. If you have no hit die in your pool, you cannot store any in your ring. Whenever you take a long rest, the hit dice stored in your ring are nullified, and removed from the ring. The number of die you can store in it increases to 2 at level 11, and 3 at level 18.

Ring Appearance

If you are paired with the Archfey, your ring may appear as a gold band adorned with curling emerald leaves. The Fiend may grant a roughly made ring of black rock with a blood-red stone set in it, or a partnership with the Great Old One may result in a bleached wood ring with eyes carved all over it, glittering with shining sapphire pupils.

Eldritch Invocations

Soul Restoration

Prerequisite: 12th Level, Pact of the Ring feature

Whenever you store a hit die in your ring, increase the die value by one step up to a maximum of d12. E.g., d8 -> d10.

Aura Barrier

Prerequisite: Pact of the Ring feature

Whenever you expend a hit die stored in your ring, you are granted temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier.

Essence Thief

Prerequisite: 5th Level, Pact of the Ring feature

Once per long rest, when you make a successful attack against one enemy, you can force them to roll a Constitution Saving Throw against your Spell Save DC or store one of that creature's hit die in your ring, provided you have the space to do so. If you succeed, the hit die is subtracted from their hit dice pool and added to your own.
