Monk: Way of the Bushi

Practitioners of Bushido meaning "the way of the warrior" in the east, these warriors focus their life on a code of honor to temper their martial skills with wisdom and serenity. They often either pledge themselves to a liege in service to their kingdom as samurai or wander the world as vagabonds.

Samurai's armaments

When you take this tradition at 3rd level you gain proficiencies in the arms and armors synonymous with Samurais. You gain the following features:

  • You are proficient with Dō armor. While wearing Dō armor and no shield, your can add your Wisdom modifier to your AC. Additionally you cannot use your Martial Arts feature, but can still use Dexterity for the attack and damage rolls of monk weapons.
  • Your speed while wearing Do increases by your unarmored movement bonus minus 10 feet.
  • You gain longswords, halberds, glaives and longbows as monk weapons. When wielding a halberd, glaive or a longbow as a monk weapon you ignore the heavy attribute.

Issen
