Warlock Patron: The Earthmother

You have made a pact with the Earthmother, a deity or manifestation of the forces that protect and nourish the flaura and fauna of the world. Nature is in a constant struggle with the constructs of organized society, as the destroy the habitats that she has carefully cultivated for her children to expand their cities. Beings of this type include Gaia, Silvanus, Obad-Hai, Beory, Habbakuk, The Devourer, Pan, and Osiris.

Expanded Spell List

The Earthmother lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

Seed of Rejuvenation

Starting at 1st level, your patron has gifted you with a magical seed infused with invigorating and restorative magic. You have one seed at 1st level. You gain an additional seeds at 9th and 18th level. You regain expended seeds when you finish a short or long rest.

As an action on your turn, you may plant a seed on one target you can touch. At the end of that creature's next turn, the seed blooms, reinvigorating their life force. The creature regains hit points equal to your charisma modifier plus 1d8 for each level of your pact magic spell slot.

Cross-Pollinate

Starting at 6th level, whenever one of your seeds blooms, you may use your reaction to cross-pollinate the seed to a target you can see within 15 feet of the original target with a new seed that will bloom at the end of the new creature’s next turn. Each time a seed cross-pollinates, the Warlock spell slot level of the spell is reduced by 2. After a seed blooms as a 1st level spell or is reduced to a 0 spell slot, the seed expires.

Implacable Growth

Starting at 10th level, you gain resistance to necrotic damage. In addition, when one of your seeds blooms, you can end either one disease or one condition afflicting the creature. The condition can be blinded, deafened, paralyzed, or poisoned.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Vines of the Grove

Starting at 14th level, you conjure forth grasping vines to restrain your foes. As an action, hostile creatures you can see within 20 feet of you must make a Strength saving throw against your Warlock Spell save. On a failed save, a creature takes 4d8 Bludgeoning damage and is restrained for 1 minute. On a successful save, the target takes half damage and is not restrained. A creature restrained by the vines can use it’s action to make a Strength save against your Warlock spell save to break free. On a success, it frees itself. On a failure, the creature takes an additional 1d8 Bludgeoning damage for each time it has failed to break free (1 failed save is 1d8, 2 failed saves is 2d8, etc.) as the vines slowly choke the life out of the creature.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Eldritch Invocations

Whenever you would learn an Eldritch Invocation, you may select one of the following as long as you meet the prerequisite.

The Earthmother's Chosen

Prerequisite: Earthmother Patron

Your familiar adds your proficiency bonus to it's AC and hit points.

Torrent of Rejuvenation

Prerequisite: Earthmother Patron

Whenever you restore hit points to a creature, that creature regains an additional 2 hit points.

Disarming Vines

Prerequisite: Earthmother Patron

Whenever you hit a creature with a melee attack, you can attempt to disarm a creature with vines that shoot from your wrist. When you successfully hit a creature with a melee attack, you may use your bonus action to make the creature make a Strength save against your Warlock Spell save. On a failed save, the vines rip the weapon from the targets hand, throwing the weapon up to 10 feet to an unoccupied space. You can't do this again until you finish a short or long rest.

Tranquility of the Glen

Prerequisite: Earthmother Patron

You can cast Animal Friendship at will, without expending a spell slot.

You gain proficiency in the Perception and Survival skills.

Stampede the Herd

Prerequsite: 5th level, Earthmother Patron

You can castConjure Animals once using a Warlock spell slot. You may not do so again until you finish a long rest.

Perennial Growth

Prerequsite: 9th level, Earthmother Patron

You can castGreater Restoration once using a Warlock spell slot. You may not do so again until you finish a long rest.
