Serial Killer

Some kill for sport some more kill only when necessary. You however kill out of a dark compulsion. Ever since a young age you have been fascinated by death. As a lad you found great joy from killing stray cats and other such vermin. However as you got older you were always looking for bigger and better creatures to hunt. One day you just snapped and wound up murdering your mother, It was the biggest high you have ever felt, ever since then your target has become Humanoids.

Smooth Talker

At level 3 gain proficiency in Deception and Persuasion. At level 13 gain double proficiency

Signatures

At level 3 you can adopt a serial killer name as you start to gain infamy. you develop a signature action you must perform when you you kill a human (signature examples are carving a symbol into the body, posing the body, or taking a body part.) get advantage on attack rolls next turn. This is a bonus action. Also you must also pick a signature terrain type. In your signature terrain you gain advantage on charisma based skill rolls.

Manipulate

At level 9 you can manipulate any non hostile intelligent creature to do a command. It must be phrased as a suggestion. They need to roll intelligence against a deception/persuasion roll (dm discretion) using this on other PC’s is up to dm discretion.

Cult of Personality

At level 17 you can convince an intelligent hostile enemy to turn on his ally’s. They need to roll intelligence against a deception/persuasion roll (dm discretion). For 3 turns they must attempt to roll an intelligence roll over 15 to break free of control. If they fail all three rolls after combat you can try to convince them to join your cult. They need to roll intelligence against a deception/persuasion roll (dm discretion). Also if you and/or your dm wish you can set a cultist cap and/or designate a base camp for cultist to go to. The base camp cultist could help you with things like infiltrate the guards in a city, recon a certain area, generate passive income, recrute more cultists, ect.

Things to consider.

This class archetype may not work for every setting so make sure to consult your DM before picking it. This class will also require a pretty involved/elaborate backstory and roleplay style to pull of correctly so make sure you think through things like an event to shape the killing habit (the one in flavor text is an example) and signatures, are you proud of or ashamed of your urges, do you try to overcome the urges or give in completely?, does your character consider himself a righteous serial killer using his urges but only to kill those who are evil(ala dexter)?, ect.

Bloodlust

You are driven by a desire to kill. However over time you have learned to suppress your urges somewhat. Every 24 hours you are near a large concentration of humanoids (ie a city, war camp, ect.) and do not kill you gain 1 Bloodlust point (BL) If you are more than 5 miles away from a large concentration of humanoids you also gain one BL every 48 hours. if you partake in a battle and do not kill anything you gain 1 BL. If you kill a humanoid your BL points are reset to zero, beasts can only reduce it to 2 BL. the following table illustrates what happens when you have BL points

BL effects
BL Effect
0 No effect, you feel normal.
1 You start to feel a little off. gain disadvantage on charisma based ability rolls.
3 You become noticeably on edge. Smooth Talker is disabled. you gain advantage on attack rolls
5 You are becoming very unstable. -4 to charisma based ability skills and stealth checks
8 You are extremely unstable -6 to charisma based ability skills and stealth checks.+4 to attack rolls.
10+ You are on the brink of madness. make an intelligence saving throw higher than 13 to remain sane. If you fail you must attack someone you can see(including allies), all attacks auto crit, -10 to charisma based ability skills and stealth checks. If you are knocked out, Fall asleep, or restrained for 2 hours you regain sanity.
These effects stack. They do not overwrite one another

The higher your BL the more deranged you should make your character act

You may choose to start bloodlust at level 3 or if you plan on picking the serial killer archetype from the beginning you may start it from level 1
