Planetouched Nobility

Planetouched nobles are genasi who can trace their lineage back to a noble genie, a particularly rare and powerful elemental. They are sorcerers who have discovered that their innate magic has the ability to not only shape an element, but to shape reality to suit desire. A planetouched noble is most powerful in the presence of others; where a single word can unhinge the door to possibility.

Restriction: Genasi Only

Only genasi can choose the planetouched nobility origin. In the world of Faerûn, genasi are the only race to claim a level of genie magic in their blood potent enough to manifest itself this way.

Your DM can lift this restriction to better suit the campaign. The restriction reflects the story of genasi in the Forgotten Realms, but it might not apply to your DM's setting or your DM's version of the Realms.

Intuitive Soul

Starting when you choose this origin at 1st level, your soul is able to reach out to others and create a bridge of understanding.

When a creature you within 60 feet of you attempts to communicate, you can choose to understand it, regardless of the languages being used, until you can no longer perceive the target or choose another creature with this feature. This understanding does not grant you the ability to speak, write, or otherwise know the languages being used.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum one), and regain expended uses upon finishing a short or long rest.

Bestower of Wishes

Beginning at 1st level, you can use your noble magic to grant the wishes of others.

When another creature within 60 feet of you expresses a desire, such as through a request or demand, you can use your reaction to cast a spell from any spell list as a sorcerer spell. The spell must be of a level for which you have spell slots, have a casting time of an action or bonus action, and have an effect applicable to the desire expressed by the creature. You must be able to understand what a creature says to grant a wish this way, though you can choose to pervert the creature's intent by exploiting the wish's poor wording.

For example, if an enemy demanded that you give them your dagger, you could pervert their wish and use your reaction to cast green flame blade, giving them your dagger by making an attack, or cast catapult to give them the dagger through forceful magic.

Granting a wish this way is strenuous, and you must take a long rest before you can use this feature again. Once you've used this feature to grant a specific creature three wishes, you can't grant it one again.

Elemental Discorporation

Beginning at 6th level, you can draw upon your planar heritage to protect yourself when you are at your weakest.

When you are reduced to 0 hit points and are dying, you can choose to disappear in an elemental display, such as a gust of wind, flash of flame, burst of water, or cloud of dust, along with anything you are wearing and carrying. If you do, you continue to make death saving throws, but gain a bonus to the rolls equal to your Charisma modifier (with a minimum bonus of +1).

Since you have no corporeal form while discorporated, other creatures and effects can't interact with you and you are not aware of ongoing events. If you become stable, you reappear in the nearest available space to your previous location. If you die, the objects you were wearing and carrying appear in the location instead.

Heart's Desire

At 14th level, you can entice a creature to reveal a wish they yearn to fulfill.

As an action, you solicit a creature you can see within 60 feet of you for their wish, lacing your words with subtle enchantments. If the target can hear you (though it need not understand you), it must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC or immediately describe, out loud, one of their deepest desires.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum one), regaining expended uses upon finishing a long rest.

Phenomenal Power

At 18th level, you perfect your ability to manipulate reality.

You add the wish spell to your list of sorcerer spells known. If you already know it, you can add a different sorcerer spell to your known spell list.

In addition, when you cast wish and suffer stress (as described by the spell), there is no chance you will be unable to cast the spell ever again.
