\n\n# Otherwordly Patron\n## The Collector\n\nThe Collector is an enigmatic entity that acquires certain objects to store in its Collection, a vast cache of rare, magical, or valuable things or even creatures. Many different entities can be known as collectors: an extraplanar entity intent on gathering books and arcane knowledge; a dracolich that seeks to build a menagerie of magical creatures; a trickster spirit that entertains itself by building (or otherwise stealing) gadgets and tech. The following table includes a possible focus for your patron's Collection.\n\n##### Collections\n

\n### Bonus Tool Proficiency\n\nAt 1st level, your patron's experience with crafted objects gives you proficiency with one set of artisan's tools (your choice). You can use Charisma instead of any other ability score when making ability checks with this set of tools.\n\n### Collector's Baubles\n\nAlso at 1st level, your connection to the Collector allows you to imbue magic into nonmagical items.\n\nAs a 1-minute ritual, you can touch a nonmagical object that can be worn, equipped, or fastened to one's person. The object is transmuted into a magical bauble until you finish a long rest; it becomes more elegant, more ominous, or more colorful, as fits your patron's aesthetic. It radiates transmutation magic. You can create a number of baubles each long rest equal to your Charisma modifier (min. 1).\n\nOnce a creature equips the bauble, they gain the bauble's benefits. A creature can benefit from multiple baubles, but cannot receive the same benefit multiple times. You can choose one of the following effects for each bauble.\n\n\\page\n\n**Boon of Cups.** The object acquires lucky properties. The bearer gains a +1 bonus to saving throws.\n\n**Boon of Pentacles.** The object acquires warding magic. The bearer of the object gains a +1 bonus to AC.\n\n**Boon of Swords.** The object enhances the bearer's skill with weapons. The bearer gains a +1 bonus to weapon attacks and damage rolls.\n\n**Boon of Wands.** The object enhances the bearer's magical skill. The bearer gains a +1 bonus to spell attacks.\n\n### Cape of Keepsafe\n\nAt 6th level, you acquire a potent protective item.\n\nAs a 10-minute ritual, you can touch one nonmagical piece of clothing, such as a cloak, robe, or cape. It becomes infused with abjuration magic and changes its appearance to fit your patron's aesthetic.\n\nA creature you allow to wear the Keepsafe gains 1d4 temporary hit points at the end of each of their turns. While you or another creature is wearing the Keepsafe, you also gain a special reaction. When the wearer is targeted by an attack, you can use your reaction to cause the Keepsafe to pull them up to 15 feet in a direction, but only if the target is willing. The attack can still hit, but it has disadvantage.\n\n```\n```\n\n### Augmented Baubles\n\nAt 10th level, the baubles you bestow with magic become more powerful. They gain the following augmented effects.\n\n**Boon of Cups.** The bearer gains a +2 bonus to saving throws and advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened.\n\n**Boon of Pentacles.** The bearer gains a +2 bonus to AC and is resistant to one damage type (acid, cold, fire, lightning, psychic, or thunder), which you choose when you enchant this bauble.\n\n**Boon of Swords.** The bearer gains a +2 bonus to weapon attacks and damage rolls. Their movement speed is increased by 10 feet and they are no longer slowed by difficult terrain.\n\n**Boon of Wands.** The bearer gains a +2 bonus to spell attacks. When they roll damage for a spell or cantrip, you can reroll one die and must use the new roll.\n\n\n\n\n\\page\n\n### Scroll of Stasis\n\nAt 14th level, you can temporarily seal a creature in a stasis. You learn an ancient technique of magical preservation, which can be used once per long rest. As an action, you can target a 10-foot cube within 60 feet of you. All creatures within the sphere must make a Dexerity saving throw to escape the area.\n\nAll creatures that fail the saving throw are placed in a magical stasis for 1 minute. While in this stasis, they are paralyzed and incapacitated, but are immune to all damage and magical effects. Any conditions or magical effects that are currently affecting them when they are placed in stasis have their duration paused, and the duration will continue when the stasis wears off. Also, while in stasis, creatures are immovable (even by gravity) unless by a DC 30 Strength check.\n\nAll objects and terrain in the area automatically fail the saving throw. The affected materials cannot be destroyed, damaged, or moved; any magical affects on the objects have their duration paused until the stasis wears off.\n\nA creature can choose to fail the Dexterity saving throw. If a creature is physically larger than the affected area, they automatically succeed.\n\n## Eldritch Invocations\n\nHaving the Collector as a patron unlocks the following invocations for you.\n\n#### Bail-Luck Baubles\n\nYour baubles contain an essence of luck--good or bad. After a creature wearing one of your baubles rolls a d20, you can cause them to reroll the d20 and they must use the new result.\n\nYou can do this once per bauble.\n\n#### Greater Cape of Keepsafe\n\n*Prerequisite: 6th level*\n\nYour Cape of Keepsafe can act faster. When you use your reaction to pull the wearer out of danger, you can pull them up to 30 feet instead of 15 feet.\n\nAlso, you can attempt to pull a creature out of danger when they are forced to make a saving throw against falling or an area-based spell effect, such as *fireball* or a dragon's breath attack. They have advantage on the saving throw and you can pull them up to 30 feet in any direction.\n\n#### Hastened Preservation\n\n*Prerequisite: 18th level*\n\nYou can activate your Scroll of Stasis feature as a reaction to a creature or object taking damage within 60 feet of you. When you do so, you do not target an area, but rather only one creature or object that is Large or smaller.\n\n#### Ledger of Holding\n\n*Prerequisite: Pact of the Tome*\n\nAs an action, you can inscribe the name of an object within 5 feet into your Book of Shadows. If it is not being held by another creature and is no larger than 5 cubic feet in volume, it disappears into an extradimensional pocket of space. You can store a number of objects in your ledger equal to 30 + twice your level.\n\nIn the future you can resummon an object from your ledger. As an action, you can purposefully speak the name of an object from the ledger. Its name disappears from your Book of Shadows and the object appears in a space on the ground within 5 feet.\n\n#### Legendfeller\n*Prerequisite: Pact of the Blade*\n\nYour pact weapon is infused with the energy of a legendary weapon in your patron's collection, allowing you to deliver a devastating final blow.\n\nAny damage dealt by your pact weapon becomes force damage. When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with your pact weapon, its body is disintegrated to a fine dust. Any objects it was carrying or wearing are left behind.\n\n#### Mimic\n*Prerequisite: Pact of the Chain*\n\nYour familiar can temporarily adopt the form of an inanimate object in your patron's Collection. Your familiar can use its action to transform into a nonmagical object that is Small or smaller.\n\nWhile in this form, your familiar cannot take actions except to transform back as a bonus action, though it does have a ground speed of 25 feet.
