# Druid Circle of the Grove The Circle of the Grove is as old as the trees and as tough as ironwood. These druids draw strength from the wooden weapons they wield, striking with blows empowered by the forces of nature. They stand watch over sacred groves with a devotion stronger than the deepest roots, protecting all that is beautiful and thriving. The circle's elders consider the trees of the forest to be dear friends, wise council, and a wellspring of primal might. ### Bonus Cantrip When you choose this circle at 2nd level, you learn the *shillelagh* cantrip. If you already know this cantrip, you learn a different druid cantrip of your choice. ### Primeval Ward Starting at 2nd level, when you expend a spell slot and cast a druid spell targeting yourself, you can create a sacred ward that lasts until you finish a long rest. The ward has hit points equal to twice your druid level + your Wisdom modifier. When you take damage, the ward takes the damage instead. If this damage reduces the ward to 0 hit points, you take any remaining damage. While the ward has 0 hit points, it can't absorb damage, but its magic remains. Whenever you expend a spell slot and cast a druid spell targeting yourself, the ward regains a number of hit points equal to twice the level of the spell. ### Flourish Beginning at 6th level, you tap into primal energies and push yourself beyond your normal limits for a moment. You can expend 2 uses of Wild Shape to take an additional action on top of your regular action and a possible bonus action.

### Roots of the Old Faith Beginning at 10th level, you can't be disarmed of any wooden weapon or shield unless you are incapacitated. In addition, you have advantage on saving throws and ability checks to avoid being pushed or knocked prone. ### Earthwarden Beginning at 14th level, your druidic teachings have made you one with nature. You no longer age, and cannot be magically aged. You have learned to use magic to alter your physical form to augment your strength. You can cast the *enlarge/reduce* spell at will on self. ### Might of Oaks Your mystical connection to the forest infuses your wooden weapons with primal wrath. At 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, and 11th level your martial power is improved. ##### Empowered Shillelagh | Level | Feature | |:----:|:-------------| | 3rd | When you use the Attack action with your *shillelagh* weapon, you can make one more attack as a bonus action. You can use this feature a number of times equal to double your Wisdom modifier (a minimum of once).
