### Oath of No Swearing The Oath of No Swearing is something Mom told you to do because she doesn't like it when she hears swears. She heard your big brother Josh swearing once and she grounded him for a whole week. A paladin who takes the Oath of No Swearing will not hesitate to ban people from this Christian adventuring group if they don't stop using nasty language when they were told repeatedly to stop. #### Tenets of No Swearing - ** Do not swear.** "*People who are smart know how to express themselves without having to use swear words.*" - ** Tell an adult. ** "*If someone is swearing a lot or doing something else bad, tell Mom or another responsible adult.*" - **Don't stay up too late.** *"This has nothing to do with swearing but also Mom wants you to go to bed at a reasonable hour. She'll make an exception if there's something really important but you should tell her first ."* ##### Oath of No Swearing Spells | Paladin Level | Spells | |:----:|:-------------| | 3rd | *command, comprehend languages*| | 5th | *blindness/deafness, augury* | | 9th | *sending, silence* | | 13th | *arcane eye, private sanctum* | | 17th | *telepathic bond, scrying* | #### Channel Divinity When taking this oath at 3rd level, you gain two Channel Divinity options. **Telling Mom.** Mom lets you use your Channel Divinity to contact her so that she can hear about any misbehavior or tomfoolery going on. As a bonus action, you can send your mother a message of up to 10 words, and she can respond with up to 10 words as a reaction. Even if your Mom is dead, you can still use this to tell her spirit in the afterlife. You can't tell Dad though. He said he'll take your Switch away if he hears that you've been getting into any more trouble. **Mark of the Bad Boy.** You can use your Channel Divinity to punish misbehavior yourself when Mom isn't around. As a bonus action, you can mark a creature within 60 feet that you can see. The mark appears as the word "Bad" written in common on the creature's forehead. It remains until the target takes a long rest, or until you mark another creature. While marked, a creature has disadvantage on charisma checks and charisma saving throws. It will also produce an odd odor, and is detected as a fiend to anyone using the spell *detect evil*. The mark can be removed using *remove curse* or *dispel magic*.

#### Aura of Quiet At 7th level, you gain the ability to quiet others to prevent swearing. If you are not incapacitated and a creature within 10 feet attempts to speak, you can choose to prevent it. If so, the creature must make a charisma saving throw. If it fails, it is unable to speak until the beginning of its next turn. A creature silenced by the aura will know that you are causing this effect, and how far the aura extends. At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet. #### Swear Stopper At 15th level, you become a true protector of virgin ears. You gain immunity to psychic damage. Additionally, when a creature you can hear swears (or attempts to swear but is prevented by your aura) you can use your reaction move up to half your speed towards that creature, and cast a spell targeted at that creature, or an area of effect spell centered on the creature. #### Mom Says It's My Turn on the Xbox At 20th level, you become more assertive during your turn. When a creature attempts to use its reaction during your turn, you can use your reaction to prevent it from doing so.
