\page ## Artificer Specializations ### Armoursmith Specialization You are an Armoursmith, a master of combining engineering and magic. You design and wear a suit of enhanced armour to augment your abilities. ### Toymaker Specialization Some Artificers, particularly those of gnomish heritage, find joy in creating little devices that are inconspicuous but creative. They are as entertained when their foes underestimate these little constructs as they are when the constructs blow up in their faces. ## Barbarian Primal Paths ### Path of the Battletrancer Battletrancers are Barbarians that are diametrically opposed to the standard. Instead of being powered by white hot rage, they are icy, calculating combatants, unhindered by fear or pain. ### Path of the Predator Predator Barbarians are those that understand the importance of stalking and surprise. Surpassed in wild comfort only by Rangers, Predators can follow prey for days and destroy them in moments when they finally choose to strike. ### Path of the Ragecaster All Barbarian rages are magical in some regard. A raging Barbarian gains supernatural speed, strength, and agility, and some can channel primal storms, divine energy, or spirit magic. This, alongside Bards and Sorcerers, is proof of the magical nature of emotion. Some Barbarians, however, press a step further. Their rage, white hot and burning, can sunder the meaning of reality and redefine the world around them. These Barbarians are known as Paincasters. Though they are often grouped with Eldritch Knights and Paladins, they are actually most closely related to tragedy obsessed Bards and Battlemagic Origin Sorcerers. ### Path of the Tyrant Not all Barbarians hail from exotic jungle tribes or mountain villages. In fact, sometimes Barbarians are found even among the elite of civilized society. These Barbarians are called Tyrants. Through cunning, cruelty, and raw displays of political strength, these individuals inflict their will on all those who cross their path — and brutally punish those who refuse to bow before them. ``` ``` ## Bardic Colleges ### College of Dance Bards of the College of Dance are free spirits who express themselves through motion. Even when they are not performing, their body language is extravagant, incorporating a myriad of gestures and expressions. In combat, these Bards use their complete control of their bodies to distract their enemies. Just as they mesmerize an audience from a stage, they capture the attention of others with their striking dance. ### College of the Gentle Soul Bards of the College of the Gentle Soul are simple beings with simply pleasures. To them, everything in the world is a source of curiosity and amazement. Typically, these individuals are incorrigible optimists. They sing at every occasion, watch small animals play for hours, and show complete and unconditional love to everyone they come into contact with. Inevitably, given enough time, they can befriend even the most hardened and mistrusting of creatures. ### College of Inspiration Though all bards are inspiring pillars of art, those who subscribe to the College of Inspiration inspire many individuals at once, healing or empowering all those who stand near them. ### College of the Punmeister Generally speaking, Bards have quality senses of humor. It's something that functions as a result of having a high Charisma -- you just know how to make others laugh. Bards of the College of the Punmeister do not follow this general rule. Sure, there is plenty of laughter wherever a Bard of the College of the Punmeister goes, but usually, the Bard is the only one laughing. Their sense of humor -- or, more accurately, *non*sense of humor -- is comprised entirely of groan eliciting puns, plays on words, and references to obscure musicals that can make even the most cool headed of individuals lash out in rage. In spite of their loose tongues, these Bards make fantastic adventurers. Once their companions learn to tune out the worst of the Bard's jokes, the Bard can very effectively draw enemy attention, creating openings for the more sane party members to attack unopposed. ### College of the Wordsmith College of the Wordsmith Bards are those masterful storytellers who weave a world so engaging that it feels that it could really be there. These bards count authors, poets, dungeon masters, and many adventurers among their ranks. Those College of the Wordsmith Bards that take up adventuring put the reality of their words to use on the battlefield, and what sounds in the taverns like a possibility is spun into the very fabric of reality.

\page ## Blood Hunter Martial Orders ### Order of the Pit The Order of the Pit is an ancient and dwindling Order of Blood Hunters that has been outstripped in recent years by the Order of the Profane Soul. Tailored specifically to the hunting of demons and devils, the Order of the Pit emphasizes caution in dealing with fiends that is only outstripped by their zeal for killing them. ### Order of the Serpent The Order of the Serpent is comprised of dragon hunters, individuals who are so committed to the hunt they pursue as to imbue themselves with the blood of their prey. As they do so, they become increasingly draconic in nature. ### Order of the Viral You are a hunter of the alien, pursuing and destroying creatures that are horrifying enough to paralyze others. Your prey are the ultimate predators, and it takes a supernatural hunter like you to best them. ## Cleric Divine Domains ### The Conversion Domain Conversion Domain Clerics are those missionaries who seek to bring others to what they believe to be the truth. Spouting holy writ and possessed of a zealous flame, these Clerics find words to be the most powerful of weapons. ### The Elemental Domain Elemental Domain Clerics are masterful manipulators of the elements, manifesting fire, ice, thunder, acid, and other damaging elements of nature to beat back even the most terrifying of foes. Generally their abilities focus around fire, as cleansing fire is the element most typically associated with the divine, but these Clerics are familiar with all elements. ### The Energy Domain Clerics of the Energy Domain are often mistaken for Clerics of the Elemental Domain; however, the two are very distinct. While the Elemental Domain focuses primarily around the four major elements, an Energy Domain Cleric picks one or two elements and maximizes their effectiveness with them. ### The Forsaken Cleric Unlike other Clerics, you do not have a quite traditional Divine Domain. Your god has forsaken you, perhaps because they died or a similarly dramatic reason, leaving you as one of the final vessels of their divine power. ``` ``` ### The Joy Domain Joy Domain Clerics believe that living happily is the only way worth living. In times of crisis, these Clerics take to the field in the hope that, perhaps, they will be able to lighten the burden of suffering for some. ### The Machine Domain Clerics of the Machine Domain are championed by forward thinking gods. Dealing with the powers of automation and electricity, these Clerics can build anything, given the time. The gods and goddesses that grant the Machine Domain are generally those who might also grant the Knowledge or Forge Domains. ### Prophesy Domain Many gods enable their followers to peer into the future, warning and defending the devout from the impending storms of life. ### The Racial Champion Domain In many of the worlds of Dungeons and Dragons there are deities who are associated with specific races. Clerics of these deities are powerful champions of their respective races, though they are sometimes heavily prejudiced against those who do not share their ancestral kinship. Depending on the setting in which you are playing and the race of your character, you may have a particular name for this Cleric domain; for instance, human Racial Champion Clerics in my setting are commonly known as Inquisitors. ### Time Domain Deities of the Time Domain are relatively rare, and their clerics are even fewer and further between. The magics they wield are earth shattering abilities that can overwrite events as they happen, steering the entire future around pivotal points. Because such gods are so powerful, they are bound to use their power only to maintain the integrity of time, preventing the universe from devolving into chaos, but occasionally, one sees such devastating potential in the future that they grant their power to a mortal. ## Druid Druidic Circles ## Elementalism Circles In the worlds of Dungeons and Dragons, there are four primary elements: Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. These elements comprise everything that is, was, or could be. In the Player's Handbook there are rules for a Druid Circle of the Land. The following Circles are slight modifications to the Circle of the Land to allow for elementally themed Druids (Earth and Water elementally themed Druids can be done easily using the existing Circle of the Land rules).

\page ### Circle of the Flame Circle of the Flame Druids seek to purge the horrors that lie in nature’s darkest places, banishing monsters and demons from the realms of light back to the caves and pits from whence they arose. ### Circle of the Sky Circle of the Sky Druids are champions of beauty, simplistic nomads who see the silver lining on every cloud. Powered by the sky, they hope to bring optimism to all, and are masters of mobility in combat. ### Circle of Decay As with all Druids, Circle of Decay Druids seek to preserve nature. However, Circle of Decay Druids stand for one of nature's ugliest truths — death. In many cases, this makes them excellent adventurers, as they are better able to inflict death in the never ending fight against monsters and evil. However, such a Druid, once turned, is a fearful opponent to face. ### Circle of Iron/Circle of the Deep Though the Circle of Iron and Circle of the Deep are distinct from each other, they utilize very similar methods. These Druids believe in the intrinsic value of metal and stone, and use them greatly to their advantage. In general, Druids of the Circle of Iron live above ground, often in mountainous areas. Druids of the Deep dwell in the Underdark, drawing on their magical abilities to defend the natural life they encounter from aberrant incursions. ### Circle of the Iron Jungle Circle of the Iron Jungle Druids, sometimes better known as Urban Druids, are some of the most tragic figures to be found in the worlds of Dungeons and Dragons. Having seen their once wild homes overrun by civilizations, they seek to preserve the wild in little ways, wherever possible. ### Circle of the Hive The Circle of the Hive is an esoteric hive that looks at nature and sees in it civilization, perfected. Where humanoids are only just forming civilization, ants, bees, wasps, and other creatures have already perfected the art of the superorganism. These druids can shapeshift into swarms of tiny creatures and coordinate their allies in ways that lesser beings simply cannot match. ## Fighter Archetypes ### Arcane Acolyte Archetype A select handful of Fighters augment their martial prowess with the memorization of magic that will empower them in combat. These arcane warriors, known as Eldritch Knights, are known for mixing conjuration and abjuration into their weapon attacks, devastating entire enemy formations in the process. Arcane Acolytes are not Eldritch Knights. Like Artificers, their study delves deeper into the mechanics of magic, and is more intellectual a pursuit than their more combat focused brethren. While other Fighters might deride them for 'wasting' time on such activities, an adventuring Arcane Acolytes readily prove that their abilities, though more limited in scope, are every bit as potent. ### Brawler Archetype Brawler Fighters specialize in the use of their fists — or whatever they have to hand — in combat. While they are not quite as adept in this regard as Monks are, they are still very painful to come up against in a fight. If you end up across the bar from one, be sure not to piss them off. ### Chantmaster Archetype Chantmasters are standard bearers and beat keepers of the armies of the worlds of Dungeons and Dragons. Whether or not they actually lead the troops around them in chants, they are undeniably inspiring. ### Crusader Archetype Though many Clerics and Paladin feel divine calls and are drawn to divine magic’s, not all who desire to fight in their deity’s name receive such high honor. These warriors, known as Crusaders, fight on in faith, smiting their foes with their own strength in the hope of some later reward. ### Defender Archetype Some fighters are built not for offense but for defense. These fighters pour their efforts into using shields with one handed weapons to allow them to strike with impunity. As they continue to develop their abilities, they become all but immune to attack and can weather even the most tenacious of offenses, repelling wave after wave of attackers. ### Eldritch Knight Archetype Variant: Chaplain Many armies maintain war priests to encourage and steady their troops. These Chaplains, be they generic catch-all priests or the dedicated fanatics of an army's favored god, mix a light dusting of divine magic with their martial potency to maximize their own effectiveness and the effectiveness of those they fight alongside. ### Eldritch Knight Archetype Variant: Eldritch Herald Where most Eldritch Knights pursue a dedicated study of arcana and memorization of complex spells, some find shortcuts in Eldritch magic. These Eldritch Heralds gain additional magical ability via a pact with an otherworldly being.

\page ### Junker Archetype Some fighters are not formally trained, but rather learn their trade through brutal experience. These fighters are self-sufficient powerhouses, versatile, if unsettlingly manic, on the field of battle. ### Marine Archetype Marines are those Fighters who emphasize versatility at the expense of all else. There is no terrain on which they cannot fight, no weapon they cannot wield, and most importantly, no enemy they cannot slay. ### Skirmisher Archetype Skirmishers are masters of hit-and-run warfare, striking from unexpected quarters and retreating before the foe can retaliate. Many elves who choose to study martial skills without magic follow this Archetype. ### Squadmaster Archetype Squadmaster Fighters are the sergeants of the worlds of Dungeons and Dragons. They may not know everything there is to know about tactics or the philosophy of war, but they do know how to guide less experienced combatants through battle and how to defend as much of their squad as they can. ## Monk Monastic Traditions ### Way of the Forgotten Mind Way of the Forgotten Mind Monks understand the function of time, and can manipulate their connection to the time stream to manifest supernatural effects. ### Way of the Open Heart Way of the Open heart Monks are those who seek ultimate understanding of life and others. They can instinctively connect to other intelligent creatures, feeling their pains and joys and, if push comes to shove, can use this ability to gain the upper hand in a fight. ### Way of the Penitent Soul Monks of the Way of the Penitent Soul are haunted by some grievous sin of their past. Though they are beset by grief and guilt, they believe and hope that with time, self-denial, and sacrifice they may be made whole. There is no price that they will not pay to protect others, up to and including their own lives. ### Way of the Yielding Bough Monks of the Way of the Yielding Bough study the application of energy. They learn to use their Ki to harness and redirect the kinetic energy of their opponent’s attacks, using it to augment their own strength and overcome even the strongest defenses. ``` ``` ## Mystic Orders ### Order of the Readied Blade The Order of the Readied Blade is a paradigm born of necessity, rather than curiosity. Instead of pushing to the limits of esoteric psionic powers, these Mystics have honed a practical mixture of martial psionics that makes for a truly terrifying adversary. ## Paladin Sacred Oaths ### Oath of Ascension Oath of Ascension Paladins are those Paladins that seek to join the previous members of their race to ascend to godhood. This path is not easy, but it is possible to follow to a truly stunning conclusion. ### Oath of Justice Oath of Justice Paladins pursue the truth above all else, seeking to find fairness and order. ### Oath of Protection The Oath of Protection is one of the oldest of Paladin Oaths, a sacred vow to defend those who cannot defend themselves from the evils that would destroy them. Oath of Protection Paladins are generally found on the front lines of crusading forces, trading sheer destructive ability for the durability to shield those behind them. ### Oath of Purgation Paladins who have sworn the Oath of Purgation are unflinching and vindictive individuals, dedicated to wiping evil of the face of the land. They tend towards draconian thought processes, and channel holy fire to punish evils they witness. ## Ranger Conclaves ### Landstrider Conclave Rangers of the Landstrider Conclave are comfortable traversing long distances at great speed. Typically outriders and scouts who decided to augment their martial training with primeval magic, these individuals are undeterred by foreboding terrain or magical obstacles. ### Rider Conclave Rider Conclave Rangers are incredibly similar to Beastmaster Rangers. However, where a Beastmaster fights side-by-side with their animal companion, a Rider fights mounted on theirs, a pair of creatures functioning as one. ### Stormbringer Conclave Stormbringers are uniquely aggressive among rangers, often serving to wreak havoc on those that they deem dangerous to nature.

\page Their souls are as turbulent as the storms that they channel, churning with anger and frustration at the lack of respect that many "civilised" individuals have for the natural world. However, once a Stormbringer has deemed an induvial a friend, they become an ally that will move heaven and earth to protect that individual. More often than not, a Stormbringer's coarse exterior belies a warm interior. ### Trailmaster Conclave Known to many simply as Rangers, Trailmasters are those who invite others into their natural domain. They protect and teach those they deem worthy, and teach all to honor the natural world. ## Roguish Archetypes ### Acrobat Archetype As an acrobat, you have exceptional control of your physical form. Perhaps you used to perform as a trapeze artist, maybe you taught yourself parkour to more effectively traverse the city, or perhaps you simply realized that being able to outmaneuver the city guard is a valuable skill. Regardless of the origin of your skills, you are undeniably an acrobat. ### Hacker Archetype Hacker Rogues are some of the strangest characters in the worlds of Dungeons and Dragons. Straddling the knife edge between magic and technology, they can counter the uncounterable and, in extreme cases, take complete control of magic and constructs. ### Knifeplayer Archetype A handful of rogues learn to dazzle with feats of weapon prowess, whether to make coin on street corners or scare off competition. Known as Knifeplayers, these rogues can twirl a dagger around a fingertip and flip it through the air without receiving so much as a scratch — though they can do much worse to those who cross them. Knifeplayers are tricksters and showoffs. Typically possessed of butterfly knives, they use their dazzling and perhaps impractical set of skills to confuse their opponents, gaining an extra upper hand and wowing onlookers simultaneously. Often a Knifeplayer uses an esoteric take on a dagger, such as a butterfly knife or a switchblade. However, this is not necessarily always true. ### Street Mage Archetype Unlike wizards, Street Mage Rogues have studied real magic — the ability to make others' coin disappear into their pockets. These Rogues master sleight of hand tricks that allow them to dazzle and amaze others by misdirecting their attention. ``` ``` ### Vigilante Archetype Some Rogues decide to take the law into their own hands, using their speed and agility to outmaneuver both criminal elements and traditional law enforcement. Occasionally these Rogues are embraced by law enforcement and loved by the populace. More often than not, however, their unique and violent method of putting down crime leaves them more feared than the threats they keep down. ## Sorcerer Sorcerous Origins ### Aberrant Bloodline You trace the origin of your magical power to an aberrant taint in your family line. Whether you were once favored mind flayer thralls, manipulated by beholder dreams, or touched in some other way, your magic is undeniably alien in nature. ### Battlemagic There are few places more magically charged in the material plane than the sites of ancient battles. The raw forces of life and death struggle on a scale found nowhere else. Archmages, battle priests, and choirs of lesser spellcasters rain supernatural artillery on enemy forces. Over the course of days or even hours, a location's very nature becomes one of intense magical essence. You or one of your ancestors was touched by such a place. Perhaps you grew up near a legendary battlefield, and your powers are seen as a gift of figures of lore. Or maybe your father survived a conflict in such a place, leaving you touched. Whatever the cause, the magic of war flows through your veins. ### Inheritor As an Inheritor Sorcerer, you come from a long line of magic users. Your blood is so inundated with magic that it is part of the very fiber of your being, and you can scarcely fathom how it would feel to be deprived of it. Whether you are their student, their servitor, or an acolyte they are unaware of, your study of them and their adventures has opened your mind to the world of arcane magic.

\page ### Leviathan Patron Your patron is some ancient and mighty denizen of the deep. Perhaps you are the priest of a mighty kraken, sent to herald the oncoming storm. Maybe you are a cultist of elemental evil, empowered by a leviathan elemental. Or perhaps a Marid corrupted your wish for arcane power by predicating such on a pact with it. Your patron might even be a Great Old One, such as Cthulhu, who has an innate tie to the subaquatic world. Whatever the case, your abilities tie you inherently to the sea. ### Spirit Champion Patron The curse of undeath takes myriad forms, binding souls or bodies to the mortal world to pursue inscrutable ends. Wraiths, poltergeists, and vampires all return from beyond the grave to plague the living. Mummies and liches haunt ancient tombs and slay arrogant adventurers at will, and at times it seems that the darkness is all consuming. Typically such creatures are controlled only by the urge to share their fate. However, a rare few are bound to the realm of the living not by unholy magics, but by positive forces — devotion to friends and loved ones, bonds of honor, or other similar laudable traits. Such a being, should they persevere long enough in the world, might manage to amass arcane power and bestow it on those they deem worthy. Your patron is one such being, a Spirit Champion from a time long forgotten. ### Tormented Soul Patron Your patron is as much an emotional force as an actual being, a Tormented Soul bound to the Material Plane and prevented from reaching the sweet release of whatever lies beyond this life by unfinished business from their mortal life. Driven mad by the inability to reach closure, this tattered entity has begun to pour power and emotion into you, hoping that you will complete what they started and grant them rest. Unfortunately, they take no care for you, and, as long as this parasitic relationship continues unresolved, your sanity unravels in time with that of your patron. ### Supergenius Patron The Supergenius Patron implies an individual of immense magical and technological understanding. Your patron's mind is so far beyond that of an average individual as to render them all but unintelligible. At 1st level, you have struck a bargain with a powerful designer of technology, providing certain favors for him or her in exchange for powerful augmentations to your own form and equipment. You choose for these modifications to have either a Defensive or Offensive bent, determining your features as described below. ``` ``` ## Wizard Traditions ### Deviant Wizard While most Wizards study out of dusty tomes, with a few oddballs preferring to experiment and singe their eyebrows off, there are rare individuals whose pursuit of knowledge is far more dangerous. These Deviants walk a fine line between an academic and a Warlock, studying and drawing ever closer to eldritch beings of unfathomable power. However, those who retain their autonomy sometimes tame their would-be masters. ### School of Arcanum Wizards of the School of Arcanum tend to be severely more library bound than other Wizards, as they endlessly pursue the perfection of their spells. However, when such a Wizard pries their nose out of their studies and begin to adventure, they typically find that they are already approaching mastery. ### School of Categorization Wizards of the School of Categorization seek nothing less than the complete and total list of magical effects that can be created through arcane study. The fact that such a quest is functionally impossible is immaterial; the challenge is there, and every step that can be made towards its completion is a step worth taking. ### School of Mechromancy You are not the same as most wizards, who manifest magical effects by manipulating the fabric of the universe. Rather, you peer into the distant future, gaining the secrets of technology thousands of years ahead of its time and manifesting effects so powerful that they might as well be magical. ### School of Redirection Wizards of the School of Redirection blend the teachings of the Schools of Abjuration and Evocation to be truly effective on the battlefield. They have learned to not only deflect damage but to absorb it and then, when their opponents’ abilities are exhausted, they channel the absorbed energy into a truly devastating series of attacks.
