Hello my name is Ethan Lauridsen I compiled this little adventure for my D&D character named Comnglan Lavafighter he's a cleric of freya and quiet a weird dude but fun nonetheless. there is a few things I want to adres quick I do not own any art in this. # Comn's Home ### his fear and great love.

##### A Home and a Prison. When comn was growing up In “goðvegr hollr díar” or in common “The way of the gods faithful priests” he only saw travelers from distant lands and yearned to see them but was stuck behind the city's great nordic walls. His only chance to get out of the city was ethier scouting for ancient artifacts or a quest from his god.

### Unknown and too strange.

When some people come into town and They're a bit odd even to the towns standards whether power based or how they act some will want them out while others will see them as the gods champions this may even split clans futher.

### Church above all else.

##### Home and Religion. The town has known nothing but nordic faith for hundreds of years now anyone that tries to disrupt that balance is usually distrusted and looked down on.

### Big city close communities.

##### close communications and loose lips. When someone does something great or bad word in certain communities travel fast and sometimes gets changed along the way sometimes this leads to clans fighting when it was really a small issue.

### the beginning ## A long time ago In the beginning the Norse religion came from the ice lands from unknown tribes of men and dwarves when they came down from the ice lands when the great freeze happened they met many different ideas and people at first they raped and pillaged but after a while some among the savages started to refine there worship they traveled all across faerun until they came across a small and weak trade town that needed help so they agreed to help defend the town if they allowed the norse men to build a great temple and thus they started “goðvegr hollr díar” or in common “The way of the gods faithful priests” at first it was weak but the town grew as trade increased the church took almost full control and improved the town like adding walls new laws and irrigation after which it prospered but they soon had a real problem on their hands the Orc wars or the orc invasion had begun thousands of nasty barbarians came streaming down the mountains they knew if they wanted to survive they needed another fort as a strong hold that could counter attack if the main settlement was hit and so they set up one of their biggest forts “alldigr tréborg” meaning “Very big Wooden fort” when construction first began they thought it was a funny name because of all the wood support beams and the name stuck even though the fort is made now of primarily stone and steel. While they constructed alldigr tréborg the city had become too pact and many moved outside the well made nordic walls while many were building this new extension of the city they struck gold thus earning the name “gull kauptún” or simply “Gold Market Town” they have enjoyed many years of peace but lately the murders in the main temple have shown some of the cracks in the settlement clans are getting rowdy orc attacks have been becoming more regular thieves stalk those who travel the roads without backup.

### Inside of goðvegr hollr díar #### Clans. There are four main clans in goðvegr. - “White Stones” they are one of the biggest miners in the area made and are mainly of mountain dwarves and humans. - The “Fire born” some of the greatest smiths are fire born hill/mountain dwarves,tieflings and the few dragonborn make up this clan. - The “Elder Nirn Tree’s” they keep the the farms and fields pure and bring great bunduels of food to town elves,halflings,gnomes and humans make up the bulk of this clan. - The “Gull house” the main trading and exporters in the city this clan is also the one of the biggest having almost every race here including half elves. These are just the biggest clans there are more that are now looking for more power like “brynjubítr’s” or simply “Point of The Swords” these are some of the greatest fighters in the clans while there clan is small if the church ever needs help defending this is there clan the people who make up this clan are humans,elves,hill/mountain dwarves and halflings. Another of the smaller clans are “höfuðsmiðr’s” or “Chief Builder’s” this clan is for the great thinkers and builders and wizards humans,elves,hill/mountain dwarves and gnomes make up this clan. These clans make up about eighty five percent of the city the rest are not clan related or are travelers. ### Defence’s. The city guard are not weak by any means but compared to a soldier there not up to par they are brave and drilled constantly but over the years of peace they have gotten lazy and tame. The watch out towers are to watch out for incoming dangers while the stone towers are for checking trade caravans and keeping riff raff at bay and they also act as temporary jail cells. The main force of their army is in alldigr tréborg while goðvegr hollr díar is not far behind in man power or defences like walls or catapults. alldigr tréborg is made primarily of stone and steel the walls is made of stone and the door made of steel. The main army of the church has seen an increase in recruitment recently because of the orc attacks their need for men and weapons have also increased certain clans power making even further skysims.

### Decisions.

almost all Decisions go through the cleric council of the church any more important matters go to the high council to be viewed by the lead clerics of all the norse gods (they technically don't have any true leader but Gurgreg word is usually a lot more powerful than others) if there's a small but pressing matter the clans will be called to vote on it. When it comes to any Army,building,expansion or serious offences it goes straight to the high council if its two farmers arguing over land its the clans if about small laws or more common issues its the cleric council. ### War and attacks. If any part of their land comes under siege or raid they go into full lock down they seal the sacred vault in the church that holds ancient artifacts and they brace the steel main gate with support beams and bolt it they also get the catapult ready and light the warning fires to alert all forts in the area. they will stay in lock down until twenty four hours after the siege is lifted. ### Trade and staying neutral. If there's any way to trade the church will always jump at the chance they love bring new wealth and knowledge in to the city and they try to form military agreement of neutrality with many factions they want to always keep the peace but if someone threatens there way of life like the orcs they rage like there nordic ancestors until the job is done. ### Ceremonies and festivals. There are a few Ceremonies and festivals that the church holds one that they hold is Yuletide which is hosted middle of January it's where you go out and hunt and bring back food and have a feast and exchange gifts. another is founder day the founding day of the city feats gifts and a cleric ritual that cleans the city of corruption or so they say this is celebrated in february. ### Birth and death. In nordic faith they dont mourn the dead they celebrate the more glorious the death the bigger the party but the feeling of loss can still be felt. Births are the same but the more important the person the bigger the party. ### Factions of the city. There are many fctions of the city the clans,church,outside traders and more but one new faction that has come up in the last year was the Neo Hunters based on the old hunters that the church dissbaned these hunters respect the church but do what it takes to take out the coruption of the world. there current leader is a old man of the old hunters hes an old mountin dwarf that was thoght dead in battle hes taght the next generation of neo hunters how to track and kill the filth of the world wich they will do with no remorse the church is split on the dission to deal with the neo hunters do they crush them or let them purge the flith.

## NPCs ### Ratings of Npcs. The rating system of npcs help determin how in common fights do these npcs show up and if they will fight. - (Common) being most often in battle. - (Uncommon) tends to stay out of some conflicts but will fight if othrers are. - (Rare) will rarely fight but if something threatens them or there ordor they will fight. - (ULTRA RARE) this rating is reserved for beasts of enormes power if they fight they will keep fighting for days. ### Faction Relationships while the town guard are indifferent to whos in charge the neo hunters and the church have a love hate relationship. While most of the church do agree that the city needs to be cleaned it would be hard to justify it to the less religious traders and diplomats of other large cities. the neo hunters now that the church would enjoy doing what they do they know that there tied up politicly while some understand that others see this as the church being unable to with hold the sacred duty.so in the end if a neo hunter squad and a norse squad saw each other to avoid complications they would look the other way.

Hit: 15 (3d6 +5) blogening damage. ---- > ### Grendel the beast of myth. > Grendel was killed by beowulf after beowulf tore off his arm Grendel then ran back to his mother his mother knew that beowulf would come to kill her next so she cursed Grendel's arm if the arm is connected to Grendel's dead body he shall rise once more. his arm is the thing that keeps him alive so while the arm is attached he can't be killed just brought down to 1 HP the arm has an ac of 17 and hit points of 25 once the arm is detached he takes 3d10 Fire damage he then can be killed the arm then is not moving until brought close to him then it starts moving on its own it can be reattached and if that happens he is healed 30 Hp and tries to flee. the arm can be destroyed to destroy it you must put in fire then sprinkle holy water on it the use radiant damage on it it will then explode dealing no damage but pushing any near away. to spot the poorly connected arm some one must make a DC 14 (Perception) Check.

Note the two breath attacks can switch so that means if she uses her ice breath she cant use her fire she must use one or the other per breath attack.
