# Otherworldly Patron: The Board W The chosen of the Board, known as Parautilitarians, are agents of the Federal Bureau of Control selected to protect the boundaries of reality by containing, studying and controlling paranatural anomalies. The Board ordains rituals enabling Parautilitarians to make use of Objects of Power - seemingly mundane items connected to the Astral Plane.

The Board itself is a mysterious entity or group of entities existing only in the Astral Plane. Appearing as a large inverted black pyramid, the Board communicates telepathically, perceived as countless, sometimes conflicting, voices. The origin and nature of the Board is unknown, but its immense power is enviable to many. ### Expanded Spell List The Board lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you. ##### The Board Expanded Spells | Spell Level | Spells | |:----:|:-------------| | 1st | *shield, catapult* | | 2nd | *silence, blur*| | 3rd | *blink, sending* | | 4th | *dominate beast, private sanctum* | | 5th | *banishing smite, telekinesis*| ### Prime Candidate Starting at 1st level, you gain resistance to psychic damage and advantage on any savings throws against being charmed.
In addition to this, you gain advantage on any ability checks used to track, identify or recall knowledge about aberrations. ### Object of Power: Service Weapon Starting at 1st level, you gain the ability to summon and dismiss your Service Weapon as a bonus action. The Service Weapon appears as any weapon of your choosing, but is always ranged and magical. You are proficient with the Service Weapon in all forms. #### Service Weapon - Grip At 1st level, your Service Weapon takes the Grip form by default. In its Grip form, the Service Weapon has a range of 30/120 and deals 1d10 piercing damage. ### Object of Power: Service Weapon Upgrades Starting at 6th level, you attune to the shapeshifting nature of the Service Weapon. During a short rest, you can choose to alter the form of your Service Weapon by selecting one of the forms listed below, gaining the corresponding benefits and drawbacks. #### Service Weapon - Shatter In its Shatter form, the Service Weapon has a range of 10ft and deals 2d10 bludgeoning damage. #### Service Weapon - Spin In its Spin form, the Service Weapon has a range of 30/120 and deals 1d8 piercing damage. When you take the Attack action on your turn and make an attack with your Service Weapon in Spin form, you can make one additional attack using your Spin as part of the same action. This feature can be used a number of times equal to half your Charisma modifier rounded up per long rest (minimum of 1). #### Service Weapon - Pierce In its Pierce form, the Service Weapon has a range of 150/600, deals 1d10 piercing damage and has the loading property.
**Piercing Shot.** As an action, you may choose to shoot a charged shot in a line 60 feet long and one foot wide in a direction you choose. This attack penetrates nonmagical cover. Each creature in the line must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 2d10 piercing damage, ignoring resistances. This feature can be used a number of times equal to half your Charisma modifier rounded up per long rest (minimum of 1). \page #### Service Weapon - Charge In its Charge form, the Service Weapon has a range of 30/120, deals 1d10 piercing damage and has the two-handed and heavy properties.
**Discharge.** In its Charge form, the Service Weapon has a range of 30/120 and deals 1d10 piercing damage and has the two-handed and heavy properties. As an action, you can choose to fire small projectile explosives from your Service Weapon at a point within 60 feet of you. Each creature in a 10-foot-radius sphere centered on that point must make a Dexterity saving throw. A target takes 4d6 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The fire spreads around corners. It ignites flammable objects in the area that aren't being worn or carried. This feature can be used a number of times equal to half your Charisma modifier rounded up per long rest (minimum of 1). ### Object of Power: Benicoff TV Starting at 10th level, the Benicoff TV object of power grants you the ability to levitate. You gain a flying speed equal to your current walking speed. This benefit works only in short bursts; you fall if you end your turn in the air and nothing else is holding you aloft. ### Object of Power: Hotline Starting at 10th level, you gain limited directorial privilege in the form of Hotline access. You can cast the *contact other plane* spell as an action once without expending a spell slot. You regain the ability to do so after a long rest. When casting the spell in this way, you may only commune with the Board. ### Object of Power: Ashtray and Cigarette At 14th level, you gain control over the Ashtray and Cigarette object of power, enabling you to manipulate a constantly shifting demiplane of corridors. There are two possible uses for the Ashtray and Cigarette. Both can be disabled as a bonus action, causing any creatures lost inside to return to the point at which they entered. Once you use either effect, you can’t use this feature again until you finish a long rest.

**Misdirection.** If you spend 10 minutes preparing the Ashtray and Cigarette, you can create an Ashtray Maze over a gate or entryway of your choosing, no wider than 30ft. From outside, the corridor appears normal to anyone inspecting through nonmagical means, however upon entering any creatures of your choosing must succeed on an Intelligence saving throw against your spell save DC or become hopelessly lost and spend the next hour navigating the maze. On a successful save, the creature passes through the maze in 10 minutes.

**Relocation.** As an action, you can use the Ashtray and Cigarette to cast the *maze* spell on a creature within range. Creatures trapped in this way must make an intelligence saving throw against your spell save DC to escape.
