## Otherworldy Patron At 1st level, a warlock gains the Otherworldly Patron feature. Here is a new playtest option for that feature: The Slug Mother. ### The Slug Mother You have made your pact with a mysterious world-eating entity, a being known only as the Slug Mother. She dwells in the Far Realm, a place beyond the outer reaches of the known multiverse where strange aberrations whisper awful truths to those who dare listen. There, the Slug Mother slithers with dreadful patience and consumes all that exists or will exist. Her dogma is inevitability: all will eventually be consumed by her, maybe long after the death of the final elf and the withering of the final sun, but eventually nonetheless. Her mollusk thralls consume the multiverse in congruity, small and overlooked. Those who tap into the unnatural power of the Slug Mother unknowably become slaves to her insatiable hunger and find themselves metamorphosing with each passing day. Should they not abandon this path, they may find that they have lost themselves completely. #### Expanded Spell List The Slug Mother lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

##### THE SLUG MOTHER EXPANDED SPELLS | Spell Level | Spells | |:----:|:-------------| | 1st | *dissonant whispers, ray of sickness* | | 2nd | *alter self, spider climb* | | 3rd | *slow, stinking cloud* | | 4th | *confusion, giant insect (slug only)* | | 5th | *cloudkill, contagion* | #### Slugform Starting at 1st level, you gain the ability to alter your form to an embodiment of the Slug Mother, a slug-like abomination, as a bonus action. While in this form, you gain the following benefits: - You have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage. - Your AC increases by 1. - Your speed is reduced by 10 feet. - You gain a swimming and climbing speed equal to your walking speed. - While in your slugform, you count as one size smaller for determining the space you can squeeze through. Your slugform lasts for 1 minute. Once you use your slugform, you must finish a short or long rest before you can use it again. #### Putrid Anatomy Starting at 6th level, your link to the Slug Mother grants you protection from poisons. You have resistance to poison damage and advantage on saving throws against poison. In addition, you are immune to diseases. #### Endless Hunger Starting at 10th level, your slugform is consumed with a voracious need to devour. While using your slugform and after you deal damage with a spell or attack, you may use your reaction to deal additional damage equal to your proficiency bonus. You then gain a number of temporary hit points equal to the damage dealt. #### Feed the World Eater Starting at 14th level, you can send creatures to the Far Realm where the Slug Mother waits in hungry anticipation. As an action, choose a point within 60 feet of you that you can see. Each creature within a 10 foot radius of the point must make a Wisdom saving throw against your warlock spell save DC. On a failed save, the creatures disappear and are hurled across the cosmos to the Far Realm. Each creature takes 5d10 necrotic damage. If this damage reduces them to 0 hit points, they are consumed by the Slug Mother. Otherwise, they return to the space they previously occupied at the end of your next turn. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
