#### The Watchcat
*Wondrous Item, Rare (requires attunement)*

This intricately carved stone cat is described by most as odious and ominous. The Watchcat can be used to monitor an area and raise alarms when conditions are met. Place the Watchcat facing an area you wish to observe and speak the command word, chosen by you upon attuning. The Watchcat can observe an area that is an 80 foot cube directly in front of it, indefinitely. The Watchcats alarm can be heard audibly by any creature within 300 feet of it and additionally, the Watchcats alarm can be heard subtly by the attuned wielder if they are within 1000 feet of the Watchcat.

When the code word is spoken, specify a singular objective for the Watchcat from the following:

* **Lookout** - The Watchcat will monitor the area and alarm when any creature passes through its gaze
* **Identify** - The Watchcat will monitor the area for a specific creature, or type of creature, that the attuned wielder is familiar with, alarming when they enter the Watchcats gaze

The Watchcat's gaze is near-perfect and can penetrate spells and illusions of 5th level or lower, seeing through falsities as if it had *True Sight*.

**Through My Eyes -** Once per day, as an action, you can look through the eyes of the Watchcat for up to one minute. During this time, you can move and act as normal, but you will only see what the Watchcat sees, unless this effect is dismissed before the duration is up.
