### College of Satire Revised *I am honestly disappointed in the UA College of Satire because I honestly believe that it has a lot of potential to be an amazing subclass. However, this potential is held back by the fact that its features are either lackluster, anti-fun, or just way too good. So I decided to try my hand at revising the subclass with some inspiration from other attempts I've seen on the internet, in the hopes of creating an overall more enjoyable subclass that provides people with a fun time as their DM cries because you won't stop insulting their NPC's.* ___ #### Prodigy in Slander ___ When you join the College of Satire at 3rd level, you learn how to hone your prowess for spewing insults at the most opportune time to effectively knock your opponent’s ego down a peg or two. You add the Vicious Mockery cantrip to your spell list if you don’t already have it. The damage for this cantrip is now a 1d8 instead of a 1d4 , increasing to 2d8 at 5th level , 3d8 at 11th level , and 4d8 at 17th level . In addition, when a creature that you can see within 60 feet of you fails on an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw you can use your reaction to expend one of your bardic inspirations to cast Vicious Mockery on the creature. ___ Starting at 14th level, your Vicious Mockery cantrip now deals half damage on a successful save and when you use your reaction to cast it on an enemy they have disadvantage on the saving throw. ___ #### Bumbling Fool ___ At 3rd level, you master the art of acting in a confused, clumsy, and incompent manner to avoid danger. As an action you can begin to act in a bumbling fashion. While in this state you gain the following benefits until the start of your next turn: - Your movement does not provoke opportunity attacks - The first melee or ranged attack a creature makes against you is made with disadvantage - You take half damage from falling. ___ #### Fool's Insight ___ At 6th level, your ability to discreetly read people in search of their hidden truths reaches new and supernatural heights. You gain proficiency in Insight, if you already have proficiency in this skill you can add double your proficiency to any rolls you make using Insight. ___ In addition, you can cast the Detect Thoughts spell a number of times equal to half your Charisma modifier rounded up and you regain all expanded uses once you complete a long rest. When the spell is cast in this way you are unable to use your action to shift your attention away from the original target of the spell, however when a creature succeeds it’s saving throw against your attempt to probe deeper into its mind it is left unaware that someone tried to read it’s deepest thoughts. ___

You can spend 1 minute putting on a performance that targets a number of creatures equal to half your bard level rounded down that you can see. During this performance you unleash a scathing tirade of childish insults and embarrassing stories. The creatures must make a Charisma saving throw against your spell save DC, suffering a magically empowered social gaffe of your choice on a failure. Creatures you’ve used your Fool’s Insight against within the last 8 hours have disadvantage on the saving throw. The creatures now have disadvantage on any rolls that involve Charisma for the next 24 hours, and cannot add their proficiency modifier to Charisma-based skill checks. During those 24 hours, any position of power or title of nobility a creature holds loses any meaning as the creature is treated like a lowly peon and are gleefully mocked by those they interact with. Once you use this ability, you must complete a long rest before you can use it again.
