### Rot Domain The Rot Domain focuses on the transition from life
to death, and the importance of death in the natural
cycle of the world. Clerics of this domain are often
looked upon with suspicion as many faiths equate death
and evil. On the plane of Ravnica, most Golgari clerics belong
to this domain. The Golgari's propensity towards using undead labor means these priests are particularly valued
- both for the creation of undead servants and in their subsequent disposal. #### Domain Spells | Cleric Level | Spells | |:----:|:-------------| | 1st | *Detect Poison and Disease*, *False Life* | | 2nd | *Gentle Repose*, *Ray of Enfeeblement* | | 3rd | *Animate Dead*, *Revivify* | | 4th | *Blight*, *Death Ward* | | 5th | *Contagion*, *Negative Energy Flood* | #### Circle of Decay Beginning at 1st level, your understanding of the cycle of life and death lets you transform your healing magics into necrotic energy. When you cast a spell that restores hit points, you may choose to have it deal necrotic damage instead of healing. If the spell targets multiple creatures, you may choose whether it damages or heals each target individually. If the spell has an additional effect other than healing the creature, you choose whether this effect occurs. If you use this feature on a touch spell, you must make a melee spell attack as part of the action. Otherwise, each creature you choose to damage can make a Constitution saving throw, taking half damage on a success. A spell cast with this feature cannot deal more necrotic damage than your own hit point maximum to any one creature. #### Bonus Cantrip Also at 1st level, you learn the Chill Touch cantrip if you don’t already know it. #### Channel Divinity: Life from the Loam Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to draw on the life force of a dying creature. When a creature you can see dies within 60 feet of you, you can use your reaction to heal another creature you can see within 60 feet of you. The amount healed is equal to twice your cleric level plus your Wisdom modifier. #### Abrupt Decay When you reach 6th level, your Channel Divinity causes undead to undergo rapid decay. When you use your Channel Divinity to turn undead, each affected creature also takes 6d8 necrotic damage or half as much on a successful save. This damage ignores resistances and doesn’t disrupt your turning. Creatures which fail their saving throw cannot regain hit points while turned. The necrotic damage increases to 10d8 at 11th level and 14d8 at 17th level.

#### Potent Spellcasting Starting at 8th level, you add your Wisdom
modifier to the damage you deal with any cleric cantrip. #### Deadbridge Chant By 17th level, you can exert your will over the transition from life to death. As an action, choose a corpse you can see within 30 feet of you. The corpse must be of a creature that has been dead no longer than 24 hours. The corpse rises, taking on a false life. You can command the corpse to move up to its speed and take an action it was capable of in life. Alternatively, you can ask the corpse a single question which it answers to the best of its ability provided it can understand you. At the end of your turn, the corpse decays into a pile of dirt. Non-living creatures are immune to this effect. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier. You regain all expended uses upon finishing a long rest.
