# Martial Archetype
Different fighters choose different approaches to perfecting their fighting prowess. The martial archetype you choose to emulate reflects your approach.
### Iaijutsu Master
Iaijutsu is the martial art of drawing a weapon and attacking it in the same fluid motion. Its masters are feared and respected throughout Faerun and other lands where iaijutsu is practiced. Iaijutsu masters harness their ki energy to strike with blinding speed and devastating power.
#### Iaijutsu Speed
At 3rd level, you begin to move like a bolt of lightning. While wearing light or medium armor, and wielding just a longsword (katana) your movement speed is increased by 5ft. You can use your dexterity modifier for your attack and damage rolls made with a Longsword.
The bonus to your movement speed increase by 5ft at 7th, 10th, 15th, and 18th level.
#### Strike From the Void
At 7th level, you strike at lightning speed to deliver one devastating attack. While wielding a longsword as an action you can make one melee weapon attack with advantage, this attack deals an extra 2d6 damage, this damage increases by 2d6 at 10th, 15th and 18th level.
#### Split Arrows
At 10th level, your speed and instincts allow you to deflect arrows with your blade, at your best you can even split the arrow mid-flight. You can use your reaction to deflect the missile when you are hit by a ranged weapon attack and wielding just a longsword. When you do so, the damage you take from the attack is reduced by 1d10 + your Dexterity modifier + half your fighter level rounded down.
If you reduce the damage to 0 the ammunition is split in half and destroyed.
#### One Strike Two Cuts
At 15th level, your strikes are made with such force and speed that they create a blade of wind that can cut other opponents when you make a successful melee weapon attack with a longsword against a creature you can deal your wisdom modifier slashing damage to a creature within 5ft of the opponent you attacked.

#### Strike With No Thought
At 18th level, you have become so skilled in iaijutsu that you strike on pure instinct when a creature comes within 5ft of you can make an attack of opportunity against that creatureWhenever a creature moves to space within your longsword's reach, you can make an opportunity attack against it. Once each turn you may make an opportunity attack without needing or expending your reaction.
