# Fighter Martial Archetype: Arcanamach
The tradition of arcanamach originates from the ancient Suel Empire. Studied and served under the noble families that ruled the empire with powerful sorcery, arcanamachs were bodyguards to the noble families and assassins of their opponents. Arcanamachs honed both martial and magical combats, which made them fearsome warriors and potent spellcasters at the same time. After the demise of Suel Empire, the tradition of arcanamach is lost to the world, except for a handful of archivists and historians. Rumor has it that there are selected copies of magical tomes recording the secrets of arcanamachs, known as *Grimore Arcanamacha,* but very few even recognize that title as of late. #### Restriction: Arcanamach Tradition Fighters who chooses the Arcanamach archetype must learn the secrets of the arcanamach, either by obtaining and reading a copy of *Grimore Arcanamacha* or studying under a powerful archmage. **Spell Breaker** serves as the generic name for this subclass if you use it in other campaign settings or to model other fighters with no connection to the arcanamach tradition. #### Pact Magic At 3rd level, you gain the ability to cast spells. **Cantrips.** You learn two cantrips of your choice from the warlock spell list. You learn an additional warlock cantrip of your choice at 10th level. **Spell Slots.** The Arcanamach Pact Magic table shows how many spell slots you have. The table also shows what the levels are those slots is; all of your spell slots are the same level. To cast one of your warlock spells of 1st level and higher, you must expend a spell slot. You regain all expended spell slot when you finish a short rest or long rest. **Spells Known of 1st-Level and Higher.** You know two 1st-level spells of your choice from the warlock spell list. If the Otherworldly Patron you chose with your Herald of the Scourge feature provides an expanded spell list, the spells are added to the warlock spell list for you. The Spells Known column of the Arcanamach Pact Magic table shows when you learn more warlock spells of your choice of 1st level and higher. A spell you choose must be of a level no higher that what's shown in the table's Slot Level column for your level. Additionally, whenever you gain a level in this class, you can choose one of the warlock spell you know and replace it with another spell from the warlock spell list, which also must be of a level for which you have spell slots. **Spellcasting Ability.** Charisma is your spellcasting ability for your warlock spells, so you use your Charisma whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Charisma modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a warlock spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one. - **Spell save DC** = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier ``` ``` ##### Table: Arcanamach Pact Magic | Fighter

Your warlock spells cannot be automatically dispelled or interrupted by a *dispel magic* or *counterspell* spells cast at higher levels. The creature must succeed on an ability check to successfully dispel or interrupt your spells as normal. Additionally, you add half your proficiency bonus to the DC for dispelling or interrupting your warlock spells (a minimum of +1). #### Anti-Mage Maneuvers By 7th level, you know when a spellcaster is most vulnerable when casting or concentrating on a spell, and leverage that weakness for your behalf. You have advantage on melee weapon attacks against a creature concentrating on a spell. Additionally, when you see a creature within your melee weapon's range cast a spell, you can use a reaction to make one melee weapon attack against that creature. #### Dispelling Strike Starting at 10th level, you can conjure a strain of abjuration magic to your weapon to dispel your target. When you hit a creature or an object with a melee weapon attack, you can attempt to end one spell affecting the target. If you do so, make a Charisma check against the DC of 10 + the spell's level. On a successful check, the spell ends. \page You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (a minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a short rest or long rest. #### Antimagic Affinity When you reach 15th level, you learn the *dispel magic* and *counterspell* spells if you do not know it already. These spells do not count against the number of warlock spells you know. Additionally, you add half your proficiency bonus to the Charisma checks you make when you cast *dispel magic* and *counterspell,* or use the Dispelling Strike feature (a minumum of +1). #### Spellbreaking Mastery By 18th level, you can use your reaction to cast *counterspell* even if you have already expended your reaction this round, but not if you have already used your reaction this turn. Additionally, upon finishing a short rest or long rest, you gain two 3rd-level spell slots, in addition to your normal spell slots. The spell slots gained this way can only be used to cast *dispel magic* or *counterspell.* Any unused spell slots from this feature vanishes when you start a short rest or long rest. Once you gain spell slots from this feature, you must finish a long rest before you can do so again. ## Credits All contents are created by Created by [Weirdo Whoever](http://weirdoworkshop.blogspot.com) unless noted otherwise.
