> ***Shapechanger. *** The mini-mimic can use its action to polymorph into an object that is of Small or smaller size, no smaller than 2 inches cubed, or back into its true, amorphous form. Its statistics are the same in each form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn't transformed. It reverts to its true form if it dies.
> ***Adhesive (Object Form Only). *** The mini-mimic adheres to anything that it touches it. A Medium or smaller creature adhered to the mimic is also grappled by it (escape DC 11). Ability checks made to escape this grapple have disadvantage.
> ***False Appearance (Object Form Only). *** While the mini-mimic remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from an ordinary object.
> ***Grappler.*** The mini-mimic has advantage on attack rolls against any creature grappled by it.
> ***Throw Voice.*** The mini-mimic can throw its voice so that it sounds to be originating from somewhere else, or from nowhere in particular.
> ### Actions
> ***Pseudopod.*** *Melee Weapon Attack:* +1 to hit, reach 5ft., one target. *Hit:* 3 (1d4 + 1) bludgeoning damage. If the mini-mimic is in object form, the target is subjected to its Adhesive trait.
>
> ***Bite.*** *Melee Weapon Attack:* +1 to hit, reach 5ft., one target. *Hit* 3 (1d4 + 1) piercing damage plus 2 (1d4) acid damage. If this bite is made against the hand of an unsuspecting humanoid, have the target make a Constitution save (DC 8). On fail, the target loses a single finger. If the target is wearing gauntlets or other finger-covering armor, this save is made with advantage.

## Mini-Mimic *(v0.2)*
Mimics have long plagued adventurers with their ability to polymorph into any object it can think of. This enigmatic ability has struck wizard's curiosity to the point where bounties were offered to adventuring parties to have live Mimics captured. Once captured, wizard began their studies & experimentation, with one haphazard experiment resulting in the creation of Mini-Mimic.
**Cunning Predators.** Mini-mimics are more intelligent than their larger cousins. They don't limit themselves to just dungeons, but find most of their prey in cities & rural towns. They often appearing as locks on doors, gold or silver silverware, fine porcelain dishes on tables, small barrels of riches, jewelry boxes, small strong boxes, coin pouches, gem wallets, purses & even finely crafted tools or tool boxes. They often use their small size as their advantage, hitching rides on would-be victims to places they may want to go. Much like their larger cousins, they are unrecognizable until potential prey reaches out to touch them where they will quickly bite off a finger. Though humanoid fingers seem to be their preferred food, they do not limit themselves to just humanoid prey. Mini-mimics also seem to be fund of pixies, kobolds & imps but will prey on any creature of Small size or smaller.
**Crafty Talkers.** Typically after having successfully bitten off the finger of an unsuspecting victim, they will attempt to quickly escape, knowing full well that they are no match for larger humanoids. They may attempt to polymorph into a different object & wait for the victim to give up & leave the room. They will use their ability to throw their voice to verbally mislead their victims into different rooms or taunt their victim, gloating about how particularly smart is was, or belittling the victim for its loss of a finger. If cornered, the mini-mimic will attempt to talk its way out of the situation, striking deals if necessary. The most cunning of mini-mimics have perused victims through entire buildings, able to chomp off multiple fingers with each new room the victim enters.
> ##### Variant: Mini-Mimic familiar
> Some Mini-Mimics are willing to serve spellcasters as a familiar. Such Mini-mimics have the following trait.
>
> **Familiar.** The mimi-mimic can server another creature as a familiar, forming a magic, telepathic bond with that willing companion. While the two are bonded, the companion can sense what the mini-mimic senses as long as they are within 1 mile of each other. At any time and for any reason, the mimi-mimic can end its service as a familiar, ending the telepathic bond.
