## Jagriff
Much like its cousin, the griffon, the jagriff is a dangerous avian predator. Their temperament is much more subdued though. They rarely fight, preferring to simply fly away from danger, though they are just as territorial as the griffon and will defend their nests with savage and brutal strength.
**Carion Eaters.** Jagriffs can be brutal, but they are opportunistic creatures. They make use of any available food sources, and have been known to scavenge from creatures long dead. They'll steal food from other jagriffs as well as any other species. Chasing down other predators is usually enough to persuade it to drop its kill, but occasionally a jagriff will attack.
**Loners.** The social nature of a jagriff is more in line with feline traits. They are solitary creatures outside mother–cub groups. Adults generally meet only to court, mate, and carve out territories for themselves.
