The Marrowgem can absorb the wielder's life force, storing it for later use. As the gem fills, it emits a faint glow, deepening in an unearthly manner as it reaches its capacity.
:
This gem can be mounted to a staff or a rod or simply held. It can be used as an arcane spell focus, even when completely empty of vitality.
:
**Drain Vitality:** As an action, the wielder can absorb HP or Temporary HP from themselves into the gem at a 3:1 ratio. The gem can contain a maximum of triple the wielder's proficiency bonus.
:
**Imbue Vitality:** They can grant the stored HP to themself or an ally as Temporary HP with a touch as an action or a reaction. The gem can store a HP maximum of double the wielder's proficiency bonus.
:
Starting at level 3, while holding this gem, you gain a bonus to spell attack rolls and saving throw DCs of your spells as shown on the Deepening Connection table below.
