This locket is enchanted with a sensor of life essence. When the attuned wielder drops to 0HP and fails their last death saving throw, the sensor identifies the loss of life essence. When this happens, the locket explodes in a powerful blast of force energy, damaging any creature who is within a 20 foot radius centered on the locket. Any creature, or object not being worn or carried, caught in this blast must succeed on a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw, taking 10d10 Force damage on a failure, or half as much on a success. **Destructive Blast.** This effect deals double damage against structures and objects. **Bounded Locket.** When this item errupts after it's attuned wielder perishes, any creature attuned to a *Bounded Lifewatch locket* are made immediately aware of this fact. #### Lifewatch Locket *Wondrous item, Rare (requires attunement)* : An intricate locket that can be *Bound* to the essence of another creature. This item must be attuned while in the presence of the *Deadmans Locket*, within at least 30ft of the item. Upon successful attunement, a depiction of the creature attuned to the *Deadmans Locket* appears in this locket. Whenever the attuned wielder of the *Deadmans Locket* suffers a critical hit, the attuned wielder of the *Lifewatch Locket* senses this fact and, if they are on the same plane of existence, can use their reaction to negate the effects of the critical hit, instead treating damage as normal.
