Bards of the College of Metronomes often value technical mastery over impassioned performance. Experts in the theory and craft behind music, their songs assert harmony in the face of dissonance, orchestrating even the chaos of battle into a perfect cadence.

#### Adagio/Allegro

When you roll initiative and you aren't surprised, you can expend a use of your Bardic Inspiration and choose one creature you can see within 60 feet of you. Roll the Bardic Inspiration die. You add or subtract the number rolled from the creature's initiative roll (an unwilling creature can succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC to avoid this effect).

#### A Piacere
*3rd-level College of Metronomes feature*

As a bonus action, you can tie a creature of your choice within 30 feet of you to your music's rhythm, increasing its speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn.

When you use this bonus action, you can also expend a use of your Bardic Inspiration to cause the creature to gain the effects of the *kinetic jaunt* spell for 1 minute.

You learn the spells *haste* and *slow*. They count as bard spells for you, but they don't count against the number of spells you know. You can cast either spell without expending a spell slot once, and you regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest.

Damage can't break your concentration on these spells, and when you cast these spells, you can modify them in the following ways:

- Once the effects of *haste* end, the target does not experience lethargy.
- The maximum number of creatures that *slow* can target becomes six plus your proficiency bonus.

#### Da Capo al Fine
*14-level College of Metronomes feature*

Your music demands perfection, turning failure into success through sheer rote repetition, no matter the cost. A creature under either effect of your A Piacere feature can use its reaction to reroll one ability check, saving throw, or attack roll it makes. The creature makes this decision after seeing whether its roll succeeds or fails.

Each time a creature uses this reaction, it gains a number of levels of exhaustion equal to the number of times it used this reaction since its previous long rest. This exhaustion is removed at the end of its next turn.
