They are covered by thorns and dance like snakes in the air. On a hit the target takes magical slashing damage equal to 1d6 + your spellcasting ability modifier. In addition, they must succeed on a strength (athletics) check against your spells DC or be grappled. : As a bonus action on your turn you can move the vines up to 20 feet and repeat the attack against another creature within 5 feet of the first. If a creature is grappled by the vines, the vines automatically deal 1d4 piercing damage.
