#### Cartomancer's Deck
*Wondrous item, rarity by deck (requires attunement by a bard, cleric, sorcerer, warlock, or wizard)*

You can use this item as a spellcasting focus.

Additionally, when you would make a weapon attack, you can instead use one of the cards in the deck to make a ranged spell attack. On a hit, the target takes force damage equal to 1d6 + your spellcasting ability modifier. The card used in the attack vanishes on a hit or miss.

So long as at least one card remains in the deck, it regains all expended cards daily at dawn.

Many decks of this kind exist in the multiverse, and rarer decks also give a bonus to the attack and damage rolls of your spell attacks: +1 (rare), +2 (very rare), or +3 (legendary).

**Cartomancer's Deck (Uncommon).** This deck contains 52 cards.

**Cartomancer's Dueling Deck (Rare).** When you use your reaction to take a readied action, you can also make an attack with this 60-card deck as part of the same reaction.

**Cartomancer's Tarokka Deck (Very Rare).** This deck contains 54 cards, and also functions as a tarokka deck. Using this item, you can cast *Commune* as a ritual, and the first time you do so before finishing your next long rest, doing so does not incur any cumulative chance of getting no answer.

**Cartomancer's Deck of Many Things (Legendary).** This item also functions as a Deck of Many Things. When you make an attack with a card from this deck and hit, the target suffers the effects of a random card, as if they had drawn from the deck.
