{{width:70px}} it Fighters come from a variety of backgrounds,{{width:70px}} but they share one common trait: they have {{width:65px}}learned to fight for a living. Oftentimes these {{width:40px}} brawls occur in clandestine fighting rings in the
{{width:40px}}
underground circuit of larger cities, or in arenas for the
{{width:34px}}crowd's entertainment. Pit Fighters know how to handle themselves in a fight, and are able to put on a show to win over the crowd.
Given the circumstances for which these brawlers mostoften train, Pit Fighters excel on relying only on their bare fists where others require the use of a wrought weapon.

*Sometimes, you don't have the luxury of a blade or axe. In those situations, you know how to throw a proper punch. You gain the following benefits:*
:
Your Unarmed Strikes count as Simple melee weapons which deal Bludgeoning damage equal to 1d6 plus your Strength modifier. If you select Unarmed Strikes as one of the choices for your Weapon Mastery options, your Unarmed Strikes have the *Light* property. Furthermore, Unarmed Strikes made as part of the Attack action have the additional *Sap* property, and Unarmed Strikes made as part of a Bonus Action have the additional *Topple* property.

#### {{color:#dc143c Level 3: Prizefighter}}
*Fighting for coin has taught you to turn a regular brawl into a show. You gain the following benefits:*
:
You gain proficiency in one of the following skills of your choice: Acrobatics, Athletics, Insight, Intimidation, or Performance.
Additionally, once per turn, when you deal damage to a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can add your Charisma modifier to the attack's damage.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
#### {{color:#dc143c Level 7: Peak Physique}}
*Blows taken and dealt alike have steeled your body, granting you the following benefits:*
:
You may use your Strength modifier rather than your Dexterity modifier when calculating your Armor Class while you aren't wearing Medium- or Heavy armor.
Additionally, when you expend a use of your Second Wind, you gain additional Temporary Hit Points equal to your Fighter level.

#### {{color:#dc143c Level 10: Eyes on Me}}
*You know how to read an opponent and get under their skin, exploiting weaknesses in their form.*
:
On your turn, the first time you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can goad that creature into focusing its attention on you. That creature must make a Charisma saving throw or have Disadvantage on attack rolls against creatures other than you until the end of their next turn.
Additionally, when a creature fails its Charisma saving throw and deals damage to you with a weapon attack before the end of their next turn, you can use a Reaction to choose one of the following effects:
* You gain Resistance to the attack's damage type until the start of your next turn.
* If the creature is within your reach, you can make one melee weapon attack against that creature. On a hit, that creature cannot use Reactions until the start of its next turn.
___
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Strength modifier, and regain all expended uses when you finish a Rest.

#### {{color:#dc143c Level 15: Crowd Favourite}}
*You know how to maintain your composure both in- and outside the pit. You gain the following benefits:*
:
Whenever you make a Charisma-based skill check, you gain a bonus to the check equal to your Strength modifier.
Additionally, you gain proficiency in Charisma saving throws.
::
#### {{color:#dc143c Level 18: The Main Event}}
*A fight only becomes more entertaining with a comeback. You gain the following benefits:*
:
While you are Bloodied, you can add your Charisma modifier to all your melee weapon attacks, instead of once per turn.
Additionally, when you reduce a creature affected by Eyes on Me to 0 hit points, you gain Heroic Inspiration.

#### {{color:#dc143c Changelog}}
* Simplified and grouped subfeatures rather than lay them out in a list.
* Specified that Unarmed Strikes count as Simple melee weapons to avoid confusion about the usage of Weapon Mastery properties as Unarmed Strikes aren't *technically* weapons RAW in *Pit Grit*.
* Removed *Heavyweight* (Increased carrying capacity) from *Peak Physique* to reduce feature count. *Heavyweight* was the least thematically appropriate for this subclass.
* Added DC to *Eyes on Me*.
* Added use limit (once per Rest) to *Eyes on Me*.
* Removed the "Gain proficiency in Wisdom- or Intelligence saving throws if you already have proficiency in Charisma saving throws"-clause from *Crowd Favourite*.
