# ***Dark Souls 3:*** ## Carthus Skeletons ### High Lord Wolnir Once upon a time, each of the rightful lords of Carthus were bestowed crowns judiciously, until Wolnir brought them all to their knees, and conquered most kingdoms known to their people. Thus, the crowns of Carthus became one, and Wolnir the one High Lord. Wolnir eventually succumbed to the Abyss, and in falling, was gripped by a fear of true darkness; so he pleaded to the gods for the first time. He found some semblance of comfort from a holy sword and three armlets stripped from the corpses of clerics. Each creature in this area must make a DC 20 Constitution saving throw, taking 54 (12d8) necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. > > ***Radiant Blast (Must Be Wielding Holy Sword).*** Wolnir raises his holy sword before slamming it point-first into the ground, banishing the sword in a blast of radiant energy. Creatures within 30 feet of Wolnir must make a DC 19 Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 35 (10d6) radiant damage and is knocked prone.
