# The Path of the Shaman "D*o you hear them? They are always whispering, just out of reach. But when the red spills, she can hear them louder. They shout excitedly when bones break. Do you hear them now? They scream of war; they scream the name of those next to die. She will use her hatchet and dagger to cut bodies down, and then she will use her hands. They are louder now, the voices overwhelming. They won't stop. They won't stop until all lie dead."* The path of the Shaman is one of madness and blood. Dangerous and chaotic, Barbarians who follow this path learn to pounce on their victims with lethal efficiency. Their rage allows them to mark a creature for death, using every weapon they have down to their own eyeteeth to consume their prey. ### Blood Trance Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, your rage becomes an animalistic bloodlust as you seek the beating hearts of your enemies. When you go into a rage you cast Hunter’s Mark on a creature you can see within 90 feet. Hunter’s Mark lasts as long as your rage. Immediately after you hit the Marked creature as part of the attack action on your turn, you can attempt to tackle that creature using your reaction. The creature must be your size and within 5 feet of you. It must make a Strength saving throw against a DC equal to 8+ your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier. If it fails, you knock it prone and grapple it. If it succeeds, you push it 5 feet away from you. ### Predator's Hunger Starting at 6th level, you may attempt to drain your victim’s lifeblood. As a bonus action, you may make an unarmed bite attack against your marked creature if it is grappled. A creature takes 1d6+half your Barbarian level in piercing damage. This ability’s damage increases by 1d6 when you reach 10th level (2d6) and 14th level (3d6). You can use this ability only once per rage. ``` ``` ### Predator's Mercy At 10th level, your blood sings as you deliver the killing blow. The damage dealt from Predator’s Hunger is considered magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to non magical attacks and damage. If you kill a marked victim with an attack action, gain half of the total damage in temporary hit points. If you kill a marked victim with Predator’s Hunger, gain half the total damage in hit points and increase your total number of hit points by one. ### Second Chance When you reach 14th level, your focus on your target becomes relentless. Marked creatures have disadvantage on their strength saving throws. You may use the Predator’s Hunger ability twice per rage. > ##### Credits > This is a D&D adaptation of the Shaman class in Ubisoft's *For Honor*. > > **Artis** Erik Ly > >**Hosted** [Artstation.com](https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Dxkw6A) > > **Made With** [The Homebrewery](https://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/)
