They use their magic to transform into scarecrows to scare away bandits and animals that would steal their crops. ### Scarecrow When you choose this circle at 2nd level, you gain the ability to use Wild Shape on your turn to transform into a scarecrow. Transforming into or from a scarecrow form is a bonus action, rather than an action. While you are transformed by Wild Shape into a scarecrow, you follow the normal rules for a wild shape with the following additions: * Your maximum hit points is increased by 3 per druid level above 2 (e.g. at level 4 you have 42 hit points). * You do not have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage. Bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage that you take from nonmagical weapons is reduced by 3. * You add your proficiency bonus to the to hit of Claw (e.g. at level 2 you have a +5 to hit with Claw). * The DC for saving throws against frightened for Claw and Terrifying Glare is your spell save DC. * When you hit a creature with your Claw attack, you can expend one spell slot to deal necrotic damage to the target in addition to the Claw damage and you regain hit points equal to half the amount of necrotic damage dealt . The extra damage is 1d8 for a 1st-level spell slot, plus 1d8 for each spell level higher than 1st, to a maximum of 4d8. ### Hallowed Strike Starting at 6th level, your attacks in scarecrow form count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage. ### Effigy At 10th level, your connection as an effigy of the land around you becomes magical. You learn the commune with nature spell. You always have it prepared, and it doesn't count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. ### Burning Effigy Starting at 14th level, you can expend two uses of Wild Shape at the same time to transform into a scarecrow that does not have vulnerability to fire.
