### Sardior, the Ruby Dragon
Shattered upon the sundering of the First World, the consciousness of Sardior, firstborn of Bahamut and Tiamat, lingers on. Being mostly dead, Sardior can’t directly intervene on behalf of his warlocks, but he therefore also expects little in turn.
#### Expanded Spell List
The Ruby Dragon lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you. You also learn the *encode thoughts* cantrip, which is a warlock cantrip for you but doesn’t count against the number of warlock cantrips you know.
##### Sardior Expanded Spells
| Warlock Level | Spells|
|:-------------:|:-----:|
| 1st | *catapult*, *Tenser’s floating disk*|
| 3rd | *detect thoughts*, *heat metal*|
| 5th | *Ashardalon’s stride*, *pulse wave*|
| 7th | *arcane eye*, *divination* |
| 9th | *Bigby’s hand*, *summon draconic spirit*|
#### Touch of Sardior
Beginning at 1st level when you take this subclass, you can speak, read, and write Draconic. If you already know Draconic, you can speak, read, and write one additional language of your choice.
Additionally, at your discretion, ruby-red scales manifest on your skin. Regardless of whether they do or not, when not wearing armor, your AC equals 10 + your Dexterity modifier + your Charisma modifier.
#### Ruby Gamble
Also at 1st level, Sardior’s uncanny luck protects you. When you are targeted by an attack roll, you can use your reaction to increase your AC by 1d4 + half your proficiency bonus, rounded up, until the start of your next turn, potentially turning a hit into a miss.
You can use this reaction a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
#### Gem Lord’s Resistance
Beginning at 6th level, choose one of the following damage types when you finish a short or long rest: fire, force, psychic, or radiant. You have resistance to that damage type until you choose a different one using this feature.

#### Breath of Sardior
At 10th level, you can mimic a portion of Sardior’s draconic power. As an action, you can exhale destructive energy in a 30-foot cone originating from you. Choose one of the following effects, using your spell save DC for saving throws:
* Each creature within the cone must make an Intelligence saving throw and take 8d8 psychic damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one.
* Each creature within the cone must make a Constitution saving throw and take 6d10 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Metal objects in the area glow red-hot until the end of your next turn. Any creature in physical contact with a heated object at the start of its turn or touches a heated object during its turn takes 2d8 fire damage and has disadvantage on attack rolls until the start of its next turn.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier, and regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
#### Ruby Resurrection
At 14th level, you become blessed with some of Sardior’s lingering essence. The amount of time that passes before a spell that brings the dead back to life becomes ineffective is doubled for you.
In addition, when you drop to 0 hit points but are not killed outright, you can instead drop to a number of hit points equal to your spell attack bonus. If the cause of your dropping to 0 hit points was an attack, spell, or other feature or ability of another creature, you can use your reaction to force the creature to make a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC, dealing 5d12 damage of the type you are currently resistant to from your Gem Lord’s Resistance feature on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful save.
Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.
