{{width:94px}}**ONKS WHO TREAD THE WAY OF THE**
{{width:94px}}Dancing Blade spend countless hours
{{width:94px}}training in the art of swordfighting and
{{width:94px}}dance. Their supernatural focus allows
{{width:40px}}them to telekinetically control the weapons with
{{width:40px}}which they have practiced most, controlling the
{{width:40px}}blade through dance-like motions, their every
{{width:120px}}movement perfect, timed, and
{{width:100px}}calculated. It is through this
{{width:90px}}magnificent dance that they exert
{{width:110px}}control over the tempo of battle,
{{width:130px}}both in close quarters and from
{{width:180px}}afar.
::
#### LEVEL 3: VIRTUOSO
Countless hours of training and commitment to the art of swordfighting have paid off.
You gain proficiency in rapiers and longswords, which count as Monk weapons for you.
Additionally, you gain proficiency in either the Acrobatics or Performance skill (your choice).
#### LEVEL 3: DANCING BLADE
Your discipline and focus manifests itself through the ability to telekinetically control your weapon of choice.
At the start of your turn, you can expend 1 Focus Point to assign one melee weapon which lacks the two-handed property that you are holding as your Dancing Blade. As a result, you gain the following benefits:
* The Dancing Blade immediately leaves your hand and hovers in your space, leaving your hands free.
* You gain additional reach with your Dancing Blade equal to your Unarmored Movement.
* You may utilize the mastery property of the weapon assigned as your Dancing Blade.
___
While a weapon is assigned as your Dancing Blade, attacks made with that weapon cannot benefit from the Versatile property if that weapon has it.
The weapon remains your Dancing Blade until you take a Bonus Action to end this effect, or until you die or have the Incapacitated condition, at which point it falls to the ground or into your hand if you have one free.
\page
#### LEVEL 3: FLOURISHES
You gain access to a select number of spells, for which Wisdom is your spellcasting modifier. You can cast these spells by using Focus Points instead of spell slots, but otherwise cast it as a regular spell, for which you may use your Dancing Blade as a spellcasting focus.
The maximum number of Focus Points you can spend on a spell increases as you gain levels in this class, gaining access to new spells by doing so. See the Spells and Focus Points table as well as the Dancing Blade Spells table for the spells available to you and the levels at which you may begin using them.

:
You are able to increase the level of a spell that
you cast by spending additional Focus Points. The
spell's level increases by 1 for each additional
Focus Point you spend.

#### LEVEL 6: CAESURA
Combat is a dance, and you control its tempo. While your Dancing Blade is active, whenever a creature you can see hits another creature within your Dancing Blade’s reach with an attack roll, you can take a Reaction to send out your Dancing Blade to intercept the attack, increasing the target’s AC by an amount equal to your Proficiency Bonus, potentially causing the attack to
miss as a result.
#### LEVEL 11: BLADE WALTZ
You waltz across the battlefield, striking foes with
the practiced precision of the tempo of a waltz.
While your Dancing Blade is active, whenever you
take a Bonus Action to make Unarmed Strikes, you
can choose to expend one use of this feature to
replace any number of Unarmed Strikes during
that Bonus Action by attacks made by your
Dancing Blade instead.
:
You can use this feature a number of times
equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of
once), and you regain all expended uses when
you finish a Long Rest.
#### LEVEL 17: BALLET OF BLADES
While your Dancing Blade is active,
whenever you hit a creature with a weapon
attack made with your Dancing Blade, you
can use a Bonus Action to teleport to an
unoccupied space within 10 ft. of the
target. Immediately afterwards, you gain
a flying speed equal to your Unarmored
Movement and can hover, lasting until
the end of your next turn.
