Roots appear around the creature within range. A creature targeted by this spell must make a Strength saving throw or be restrained. A creature restrained by this spell takes 1d4 poison damage and the caster heals for the damage dealt.

A creature restrained by this spell can use its action to make a Strength saving throw against your spell save DC. On a success, it frees itself.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, number of targets increases by 1 for reach slot above 1st.
