Poison Blood. A creature within 5 feet of the beholder spider takes 5 (1d10) poison damage whenever it hits the beholder spider with a melee attack that deals piercing or slashing damage.

Spider Climb. The beholder spider can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.

Web Sense. While in contact with a web, the beholder spider knows the exact location of any other creature in contact with the same web.

Web Walker. The beholder spider ignores Movement restrictions caused by webbing.

Actions

Multiattack. The beholder spider makes 2 leg attacks in addition to a bite attack or gaze. The bite attack can be replaced by Digesting Drain if there is a grappled or restrained creature able to be targeted by it. The beholder spider can replace both leg attacks with a web attack.

Leg. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (3d6 + 4) piercing damage. If both leg attack hit the same target, the target becomes grappled (escape DC 14) if it is a Huge or smaller creature. Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained, and the beholder spider can't use the same legs on another target. The beholder spider has eight legs.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 8 (1d8 + 4) piercing damage plus 9 (2d8) poison damage. The target must make a DC 11 Constitution saving throw, taking the poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. If the poison damage reduces the target to 0 hit points, the target is stable but poisoned for 1 hour, even after regaining hit points, and is paralyzed while poisoned in this way.

Gaze. The beholder spider shoots a gaze at a target it can see within 40 feet of it. The targeted creature must succeed on a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened for 1 minute. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the Effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the being frightened of the beholder spider for the next 24 hours.

Digesting Drain. One creature grappled or restrained in melee range of the beholder spider must make a DC 13 Constitution saving throw. If the target has taken damage from the beholder spider's bite, they has disadvantage on the save. On a failed save, the target takes 14 (4d6) poison damage, and the beholder spider regains half as many hit points.

Web. Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 30/60 ft., one creature. The target is restrained by webbing. As an action, the restrained target can make a DC 12 Strength check, bursting the webbing on a success. The webbing can also be attacked and destroyed - AC 10, hp 5 vulnerability to fire damage; immunity to bludgeoning, poison, and psychic damage.

The Beholder Spider

Creatures like this have been theorized about since the discover of various beholder kin but if they have come into existence, none have lived long enough to make such a report. It would take a very strange situation for a beholder to dream about something so mundane in such a vivid manner that such a monstrosity could manifest.
