Way of the Custodial Arts

An ancient order of caretakers has long watched over the spaces of the disparate Realmstars. It takes no sides in the endless and futile struggles between good and evil. Its enemy is entropy. Disorder. Where others would sweep chaos under the rug, the masters of the Custodial Arts take the rug out and give it a good beating because, you know, otherwise you'll get dust everywhere.

The temples and dojos of the Custodial Arts are everywhere. They are often hidden in the back of unassuming cleaning supply stores, or behind false walls in cluttered supply closets.

The Custodial Arts

Monks of the Way of the Custodial Arts train relentlessly in the use of their sacred weapon: the Battle Mop. They can utilize this unique weapon in ways unthinkable to amatuer cleaners. Their deadly sweeps and swabs turn even the fabric of the mophead into deadly weapons capable of slicing through flesh as easily as it cuts through stubborn stains.

Battle Mop. When you take this archetype at 3rd level, you learn to fully utilize your Battle Mop. Your mop has the statistics of a longsword and may do either bludgeoning or slashing damage. Your mop is a monk weapon. At the end of a short rest, you may fashion any longsword or quarterstaff into a Battle Mop. You may only have one Battle Mop at a time.

The Sweeping Blade. When you take this archetype at 3rd level, you learn the sacred fighting style of the Way of the Custodial Arts, described below.

The Eternal Conflict

Whether they follow Kaedruss or Fulgor, the hosts and forces of the Voidsea will always need their decks swabbed and their halls decked.

Because monks of the Way of the Custodial Arts often find themselves on opposite ends of these conflicts, they have no compunctions battling one another when required.

The Sweeping Blade

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you learn maneuevers that are fueled by special dice called KUNG FU DICE.

Manuevers. You learn three maneuvers of your choice from the Battlemaster archetype. Your selection is from a limited list of manuevers which trigger on attacks and reactions.

You learn two additional manuevers of your choice at 7th, 10th, and 15th level. Each time you learn a new manuever, you may replace one maneuver you know with a different one.

Using Manuevers. You must be wielding your Battle Mop to utilize any manuevers you know.

Whenever you make an attack granted by your Flurry of Blows feature, you may choose to activate an attack maneuever. Manuevers which are used as a reaction work as written.

KUNG FU dice. You have four KUNG FU dice, which are d4s. This die changes as you gain monk levels, as shown in the Martial Arts column of the Monk table. A KUNG FU die is expended whenever you use a maneuever. You regain your expended KUNG FU die when you finish a short or long rest.

You gain another KUNG FU die at 7th level and one more at 15th level.

Saving Throws. Some of your maneuevers require your target to make a saving throw. The saving throw DC is calculated from your Wisdom.

Slippery When Wet

Proper signage is key to avoiding unncessary injuries. At 3rd level you gain proficiency with your choice of calligrapher's supplies or painter's supplies.

One with the Mop

At 6th level, you extend your ki into your mop, granting you the following benefits.

Dirt-Penetrating Power. Your attacks with your mop count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.

Scrubbing Bubbles. When you hit a target with your mop, you can spend 1 ki point to cause the weapon to deal extra damage to the target equal to your Martial Arts die. You can use this feature only once on each of your turns.

White Glove Treatment

At 11th level, you gain the ability to augment your mop further with your ki. As a bonus action, you can expend up to 3 ki points togain a bonus to attack and damage rolls when you attack with your mop. The bonus equals the number of ki points you spent. This bonus lasts for 1 minute or until you use this feature again. If your mop already has a bonus to attack or damage, this feature can replace but not stack with the existing bonus.

Further, when you roll initiative and have no KUNG FU dice remaining, you regain one KUNG FU die.
