Dangerous Direbears

The ursa totemic is a powerful melee fighter and can take a prodigious amount of damage before falling. Ursa totemics represent the continued evolution of their race and are strong melee combatants that rely on natural weapons and sheer toughness to see them through. The ursa totemic rends and mangles his opponents, crushes them in bear hugs, rips them apart with his jaws, and only then notices that he is bleeding from dozens of wounds. -Blizzard Entertainment


Defining Class Feature

Stone Hide

Ursa Totemics are known above all else for their ability to take a beating and keep going. Their natural affinities allow them to gain thick layers of fur and hide that cushion blows against them and can even stop blades mid-swing.

Gain +2 to Constitution. Additionally, gain a bonus to your max HP equal to your Constitution modifier. Critical Strikes made against you are negated unless the attack is made with Fire-based spells or weaponry.

Class Toolkits

Select three Toolkits from the following pages to add to your character's abilities on your character sheet. You receive your Toolkits (Rank 1) at Level 1, 2, and 3. These Toolkits upgrade to Rank 2 upon reaching Level 4.

If you wish to change your Toolkit selection, you must undergo an RP Quest in order to enact this change. Speak to an Officer or the Chieftain in order to facilitate this Quest.

Bristling Fur [Passive]

Spell Description:

You know that old saying, 'don't poke the bear'? Well it was probably an Ursa Totemic that started that phrase. The Ursa Totemic's fur hardens and becomes a weapon in and of itself whenever it is struck.

Spell Effect at Rank 1:

When you are hit with a Melee Attack, you immediately deal 2 damage to anyone in Melee Range of you. If you are struck 3 or more times in a round, you may attack twice on your next turn.

Spell Effect at Rank 2:

When you are hit with a Melee Attack, you immediately deal 3 damage to anyone in Melee Range of you. If you are struck 2 or more times in a round, you may attack twice on your next turn.


Bear Hug [Active]

Spell Description:

Death usually follows close behind anyone that comes too close to an Ursa Totemic's claws. One of their preferred ways of dispatching prey is by crushing them in a tight embrace that suffocates and crushes the bones of the victims, leaving them a crumpled heap.

Spell Effect at Rank 1:

  • Charges: 1

Once per encounter target an enemy within Melee range and roll a Grapple. If you roll 13 or above deal 4 damage to them and Stun them for 2 turns. Targets that have 3 or less HP are killed instantly.

Spell Effect at Rank 2:

  • Charges: 2

Twice per encounter target an enemy within melee range and roll a Grapple. If you roll 13 or above deal 6 damage to them and Stun them for 2 turns. Targets that have 3 or less HP are killed instantly.

Galactic Guardian [Passive]

Spell Description:

The very heavens move at the shouts of Ursa Totemics as they call down fury and fire upon their enemies. With the empowerment of Ursol and Ursoc, Ursa Totemics can shake the cosmic forces of An'she and Mu'sha to strike their enemies and turn the tide of battle.

Spell Effect at Rank 1:

  • Duration: 2 Rounds

When you Critically Strike an enemy apply a stack of Moonfire to the target. Moonfire burns the target for 2 damage over 2 rounds. Further Critical Strikes will refresh the duration on the target.

Spell Effect at Rank 2:

  • Duration: 2 Rounds (both Moonfire and Sunfire)

When you Critically Strike with a range of 17-20 against an enemy apply a stack of Moonfire to the target. Moonfire burns the target for 2 damage over 2 rounds. You also apply a stack of Sunfire, causing attackers to have Advantage against the victim for 2 rounds while they're outlined in the golden glow of An'she. Further Critical Strikes will refresh the duration on the target.


Raging Frenzy [Passive]

Spell Description:

Nothing draws attention like a raging bear. Their fury inspires fear into enemies that look upon them and triumphant awe in their allies. Being the most terrifying thing on the battlefield does however make an Ursa Totemic a prime target.

Spell Effect at Rank 1:

  • Duration: 2 Rounds

Whenever you take 4 or more damage in a single turn gain Raging Frenzy which increases your Strength by +1 and forces 3 random enemies to target you for the duration of the buff. Raging Frenzy lasts 2 rounds. This cannot stack.

Spell Effect at Rank 2:

  • Duration: 2 Rounds

Whenever you take 3 or more damage in a single turn gain Raging Frenzy which increases your Strength by +2 and forces 4 specified enemies to target you for the duration of the buff. Raging Frenzy lasts 2 rounds and can stack up to 3 times for a total of +6 Strength. The duration of the buff is reset upon each Stack.

Overrun [Active]

Spell Description:

Ursa Totemics are not always raging monsters of fur and claw. Many times Ursa Totemics have a very strong desire to protect those they care about with their monumental strength. In combat these individuals keep a close eye on those they are with, ready to spring to their aid.

Spell Effect at Rank 1:

  • Duration: 1 Turn
  • Charges: 1

Once per encounter charge to the aid of an ally. This will Stun them for one turn but will knock back any enemy within Melee Range and Stun them as well. You take the damage from the next 2 attacks made against your ally instead of them. Roll a Melee Attack that cannot miss and deal that much damage to all enemies you knock back.

Spell Effect at Rank 2:

  • Duration: 1 Turn
  • Charges: 1

Once per encounter charge to the aid of an ally. This will Stun any enemy in Melee Range of your ally for 1 turn and you take the damage from the next 3 attacks made against your ally instead of them. Roll a Melee Attack that cannot miss and deal double damage to all enemies you knock back.
