Chthon Timeline

THE FIRST YEAR

Timekeeping began after the death of Lakhre. There are no written or dated records from when the gods roamed Chthon, so the age of the mortal races is considered to have begun after this point, and any time before is nebulously referred to as the Time of Gods Walking.

THE MORTAL AGE

From the first year to the year 1420. Within this period is the Era of the Great Masses, before the supercontinents were divided. The era of the great masses ends around the year 660.

THE FEY AGE

The year 1420 itself is known as the Year of the First Fey. This is when Faerie attached itself to Chthon, and began to send through the feyborn. Over the next 400-odd years, the feyborn began to mix into the mortal society. The Fey Age ends in the year 1880. During the later part of the fey age, the blood and death-based gods of Chthon are slowly forgotten, and the new pantheon formed.

THE EATEN AGE

From 1880 to around 2200, when worship of Hart was at its peak. It is really during this period that worship of Lakhre is fully stamped out. This age ends after the disappearance of Hart, and the subsequent appearance of the Beast at the End of the World.

THE BEAST’S AGE

From 2200-present.
