Draconic Soul

No matter what race you may be, your soul possesses the innate will, power, and fury of a dragon. Channeling this raw energy into a useable state is what sets apart warriors with Draconic Souls from the other combatants around them. No matter what appearance this bestial form has or how it functions, those who identify with this archetype will always apply their ever-burning heart to both their lifes and their arsenal.

Tainted Body

When choosing this archetype at 3rd level, your body alters itself to align the closest it can with your dragon-esc heart. You learn Draconic if you did not already know it before. You also gain the following benefits:
  • While not wearing armor, you may calculate your AC as 13 + your Dexterity modifier.
  • Your unarmed strikes deal damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier. You may choose for the damage they deal to be slashing.
  • Pick between the following damage types: acid, cold, fire, lightning, poison, and thunder. The damage type you select will be known as your Signature Element. Any damage you deal of your Signature Element’s type will have its amount increased by 1d6.

Draconic Installation

At 3rd level, you gain the ability to release and completely transform your being to please the dragon within. As a bonus action, you release your draconic soul for 1 minute, giving you the following benefits:
  • Your AC is calculated as 10 + your Dexterity modifier + your Constitution modifier.
  • Your unarmed strike damage is upgraded to 1d6.
  • You gain resistance to your Signature Element’s damage typeage.
  • You may choose for any weapon attack or unarmed strike you make to have the damage it deals changed to your Signature Element’s damage type instead.

You may use this feature a number of times equal to your proficency bonus before a long rest is required to regain its expended uses.

Personalized Soul

Finally, at 3rd level, your draconic soul has developed its own uniques traits and capabilities. Choose between one of the three following features to gain:

Furious Might

While in your Draconic Installation, you have advantage on Strength checks, Strength saving throws, and you count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and weight limits.

 

 

Grip of Death

While in your Draconic Installation, you may grapple creatures up to 2 sizes bigger than you without disadvantage and your speed isn’t halfed when grappling a creature of similar size to yourself.

Weapon Channeler

While in your Draconic Installation, you may choose for one of your attacks with a melee weapon or an unarmed strike to deal an extra 1d8 damage of your Signature Element’s type. This can be performed once per turn. This damage increases to 2d8 at 11th level.

Raging Intensity

At 7th level, your draconic body has improved. Attacks that you choose to swap the damage type of to your Signature Element’s now count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistances. You may also choose one of the three following features to gain:

Soaring Dragon

You gain a flight speed equal to your base walking speed while in your Draconic Installation.

Lowriding Beast

You may take the Dash action as a bonus action while in your Draconic Installation.

Headstart

When entering your Draconic Installation as a bonus action, you may choose to teleport to any unoccupied space within a number of feet equal to your movement speed near yourself. This movement does not provoke opportunity attacks.

Further Evolution

At 10th level, your installation’s special qualities continue to flourish. You may choose one of the three following features to gain:

Frightful Presence

You gain proficency in Intimidation, if you didn’t already have it. While in your Draconic Installation, you may use Strength for Intimidation checks, instead of Charisma.

Additionally, while in your installation, you are immuned to being frightened, and when making a Strength (Intimidation) check, you may treat any d20 roll of 9 or lower as a 10.

Draconic Eye

You gain proficency in Perception, if you didn’t already have it. While in your Draconic Installation, you may use Constitution for Perception checks, instead of Wisdom.

Additionally, while in your installation, your Passive Perception also increases by 5, you cannot be suprised, and when making a Constitution (Perception) check, you may treat any d20 roll of 9 or lower as a 10.

Dragon’s Intuition

You gain proficency in Insight, if you didn’t already have it. While in your Draconic Installation, you may use Constitution for Insight checks, instead of Wisdom.

Additionally, while in your installation, you are immune to being charmed and when making a Constitution (Insight) check, you may treat any d20 roll of 9 or lower as a 10.

Overpowering Energy

At 15th level, you gain immunity to your Signature Element’s damage type while in your Draconic Installation. You may also choose one of the three following features to gain:

Branding Claws

Your unarmed strikes, while in your installation, deal 1d10 slashing damage and, if you choose to change their damage types to your Signature Element’s, possess a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls.

Annihilating Breath

As an action on your turn during your installation, you may release a breath of destructive, elemental power as a Dragonborn does. You may fire out this attack in a 15’ cone; the direction is your choice. Every creature within this area must make a Dexterity saving throw, suffering 8d6 damage of your Signature’s Elements type on a fail, and half as much on a success.

After utilising this ability, you cannot do so again until a long rest has been completed.

Breath save DC = 8 + your Constitution or Strength modifier (your choice) + your proficency bonus.

Draconic Swiftness

You gain a number of Swiftness charges equal to your Proficency bonus. While in your Dragonic Installation, you may expend a charge on your turn when taking the attack action to gain an single additional attack. You may only expend one charge per turn, and all expended charges return to you upon finishing a long rest.

Unending Soulrage

At 18th level, whenever you roll initiative and you have no uses of your Draconic Installation remaining, you regain one useage.

Full Draconic Cowl

Also at 18th level, your Draconic Installation has reached the peak of its abilities. You may choose one of the three following features to gain:

Complete Elimination

You may, as an action on your turn, choose to pour all of draconic soul into a single, all out attack. Using this attack will expend all remaining Draconic Installation

 

 

uses. You must have atleast one remaining use of Draconic Installation to utilise this feature.

Choose a target within 30 feet of yourself. It must make a Dexterity or Strength saving throw. Which it makes is your choice. On a fail, it will take 3d10 damage of your Signature’s Elements type for every use expended, It will take half as much on a success. If a creature has a feature that allows them to take no damage from a success, they will still be harmed by this attack.

Elimination save DC = 10 + your Strength modifier + your proficency bonus.

After utilising this feature, you gain 1 level of exhaustion and cannot use it again until 3 long rests have been completed.

Never Ending Resolve

While in your Draconic Installation, you gain resistence to all damage you lacked resistence in before besides psychic. Once per installation instance, whenever you are brought down to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you can drop to 1 hit point instead.

Finally, you have advantage on Death saving throws during your Draconic Installation.

Versatile Monster

When taking this feature, you may go back and choose 1 additional feature to gain from the Personalized Soul, Raging Intensity, and Further Evolution feature lists. You can pick one from each, and the one you choose must be different from your initial choice.
