Lucky Hat

This hat is lucky... to say that is an understatement. This hat was a gift to you by the one you love and she is who made this hat special. The hat contained a basic enchantment to tell direction and elevation but because of her feelings for you, it took on other unique properties. Perhaps she has a touch of supernatural blood in her veins or perhaps an artifact she held left some of its power on her. Regardless of how it has happened, this hat is more than it once was.

This hat contains a basic common enchantment that uses subtle mental magic to direct the wearer North and give a generalized feeling of elevation.

• While wearing this hat you always know which direction is North and if you are above or below ground level.

2nd Chance

Concern for the wearer has given this hat the ability to in times of stress, allow the wearer to manipulate fate. This happens in a subtle way and happens only occasionally. And in a moment of triumph fate celebrates by aiding the wearer again.

• While wearing this hat you are able to reroll any dice roll you choose, once per short rest. If your new roll is a natural 20 you regain the use of this ability.

A Reason to Keep Fighting

Love is a powerful force and magic can keep even the most grievously wounded warriors on their feet.

• You gain a +1 to all death saving throws.
• When you fall to 0 hit points you can immediately move up to half your movement speed. This movement does not invoke attacks of opportunity.

Guardian Force

The constant worry of the one who gave this to you manifests within the hat as a force that will guard you from the unexpected.

• Once per long rest, when you would fail a saving throw vs a trap you may add a d4 to your roll. If this would cause you to still fail you only take half damage, if this would cause you to succeed you take no damage.
