Aasimars From Spyre

The world of Spyre contains a unique cosmology all its own, including rare celestials. Though angels are sometimes haughty, the blending of their celestial blood with mortals does occur. When this happens, new forms of Aasimar, the offspring of mortal and angelic, spring forth into the realm.

The following are new aasimar subraces, to be used with games set in spyre.

Rock n' Roll Aasimar

During the first ever rock performance in Solace, all who were in attendance became immediately pregnant with angelic babies. The 225 immaculately conceived rock angels ascended to heaven upon their 18th birthday, but you better believe some of those kids left a lasting "impression" on the world first.

Ability Score Increase

Your Dexterity score increases by 1.

Born to Rock

You have proficiency in performance and are proficient in one electric instrument of your choice. You add twice your proficiency to any checks when you perform rock music with this instrument.

Denim Mastery

You were born with a denim vest, which so long as you wear prominently over your armor gives you +1 to your AC.

Radiant Performance

You have an ancestral connection to one of the 225 rock angels who were immaculately conceived during the first electric lute performance. Starting at 3rd level, you can use your action to channel the connection to this angel. For the duration, you have advantage on performance checks and you can cast the spell Enthrall once (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier).

Your transformation lasts 1 minute, or until you take a bonus action to end the effect. Additionally, once on each of your turns, you can deal extra radiant or lightning damage to one target when you deal damage to it with an attack or a spell. The extra radiant or lightning damage equals your level.

Once you use this trait, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.

Zajiri Aasimar

Spyre is a world of balance. As devils and demons are dark reflections of angels, some celestials are brilliant reflections of the creatures of the Abyss. The evil Orc diety of Spyre has no true angels of his own, opting instead for servants of a darker kind. Some of these fiendish servants ascended to celestials, and named themselves the Zajiri. They tempt orcs to the side of good, often with their sexual wiles.

Ability Score Increase

Your Strength score increases by 1.

Radiant Beauty

As an action, you can activate a transformation that allows you to channel the unearthly beauty of your celestial progenitors. For one minute, you add your Charisma bonus (minimum 1) to your AC, so long as you wear light or no armor. Additionally, once on each of your turns, you can deal extra radiant damage to one target when you deal damage to it with an attack or spell. The extra radiant damage equals your level.

Once you use this trait, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.

Relentless Endurance

When you are reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you can drop to 1 hit point instead. You can't use this feature again until you finish a long rest.
