Titan Shifter

You have kissed the lips of death and gained "The Power of Ymir."

By Zackery Taylor

Titan Shifter

Nearly 2,000 years ago, Ymir Fritz obtained the power of the Titans and became the first Titan, the Founding Titan. Thirteen years later, she died from unknown causes and her soul was split into the Nine Titans, who were passed down to nine of her Subjects.

A warrior walks out in front of his comrades, wielding a knife. He swiftly slashes his hand as lightning strikes where he is standing, as the dust fades a hulking humongous humanoid figure is left in his place.

Titan Shifters are men and woman who have the Curse of Ymir coursing through their veins. Having the power to shift into one of the nine titans of legend, wether it was due to them being born with the power or eating a previous Titan Shifter taking it for themselves.

The Ancient Curse

Life with the Curse of Ymir is a dynamic and intense existence, brimming with both power and a sense of impermanence. For a Titan Shifter, every moment carries the weight of destiny, as the Curse bestows upon them a mere thirteen years of life before their power is inevitably relinquished to the next inheritor, whether by birthright or by the audacity of a taker.

Destructive Life

Upon initial observation, these warriors bear the visage of ordinary fighters, their latent abilities concealed beneath a veneer of normalcy. Yet, within their very essence lies the capacity to undergo a transformation many might deem monstrous. It is this rare and uncanny gift that elevates Titan Shifters to a realm of both acclaim and infamy upon the battlefield.

Their prowess is a double-edged sword, bestowing upon them honor and misfortune in equal measure. Unpredictable in their nature, Titan Shifters can emerge as decisive factors in the fate of their comrades. Their potential to sway the course of battle teeters precariously between salvation and calamity. Outside their Titan forms, they exhibit competence on the battlefield, but their fiery tempers make them quick to seize control when the tides of war turn against them.

In human form, Titan Shifters are able combatants, albeit lacking specialization. Their tactics hinge on swiftly dispatching adversaries before the necessity of their Titan transformations arises. However, once they assume their Titan forms, their judgment becomes clouded by an overwhelming bloodlust that knows no distinction between friend and foe. Such a maddening rage poses a perilous risk to allies, yet it is mitigated by the undeniable truth of the Titan Shifters' irreplaceable role on the battlefield.

As companions, their sheer destructive power cannot be denied, making them both a blessing and a curse to those who stand beside them. In the crucible of war, the Titan Shifters embody the duality of strength and peril, their place in the annals of history forever etched by their enigmatic and awe-inspiring transformations.
