Dragons are inherently magical creatures, and this is no more true than in their use and mastery of 'Power Words'. These magical words are formed from the very weave itself, cutting out long arduous casting in preference for a single potent word that strikes at the very core of a target. Wizards who follow the Wordweaver's tradition seek to understand these words at a deeper level, and in doing so take a portion of draconic power for themselves.

Wordweaver

When you take this subclass your understanding of spell components drastically changes. Instead of its normal components, you can choose to cast a spell using only Verbal components, even if it doesn't normally have them. Costly material components must still be provided as normal however, even when you use this feature.

In addition, you learn Draconic, if you did not already know it, and the cost to scribe any Power Word spells into your spellbook is halved.

Forceful Tongue

You learn how to speak a single syllable of draconic power. As an action, a creature you choose within 60' that you can see takes 1d4 Force damage. This bypasses resistance and immunity to force damage.

At 10th level, you add your Intelligence modifier to this damage and use it as a bonus action instead of an action. You cannot use Forceful Tongue twice in the same turn.

Rejuvenating Clauses

By reaching 6th level in this subclass you learn how to string together your power words to regain your own magical strength. When you cast two Power Word spells on subsequent turns, you regain a spell slot one level than the lowest spell slot you expended on the two Power Word spells.

Eye for the Weave

At 6th level a wizard following this tradition learns to see the flows of the weavewords in the air. As long as you haven't yet moved on your turn, you may expend all your movement to focus your gaze on a single creature that you can see. You learn that creature's current and maximum hit point levels.

Appended Locution

Your mastery of the draconic tongue advances further at 10th level. When you cast a spell from a spell slot, you may choose to augment it with one of the additional words in the table below. The effects of the word can only apply to a single creature, even if the spell affects multiple targets such as Fireball or an upcast Hold Person.

Draconic Word Effect
Folahgaan The target creatures regains a spell slot of a level equal to half their proficiency bonus. A creature can only benefit from this word once per long rest.
Boklaahfost The spell's duration on the creature is increased as if by the Extend metamagic.
Liiluvlas You choose to either increase the target's speed 30' or reduce it by 10' for 1d4+1 rounds.
Agsumah You choose to either deal an additional 2d6 fire damage to the target creature, or grant them 2d6 temporary hit points.
Voricul The target creature adds your intelligence modifier to their Initiative and Perception checks for 1 hour.

This feature can be used a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, refreshing on a long rest.

Piercing Voice

At 14th level you learn how to overcome restraints that would stop you from providing verbal components - be they magical or mundane. You can do so as a bonus action, and the effect lasts until the start of your next turn. This can overcome effects that include but are not limited to Silence, physical gags, and not having a tongue. This does not allow you to cast spells in Anti-Magic fields however, it only overcomes being unable to provide Verbal components for whatever reason.
